this kind of fraud is rampant in the US. "fake" titles cars being sold across state lines. if the new owner ever sees his car again its been chopped and set on fire along the highway.  my brother was dragged into such a mess. an out of state person contatced him over a car he sold.,....blah blha sob story. well he got curious- did some difgging- and as t turns out the situation was bogus. he almost put his name on a felony.  [he showed me the court papers]

expect that the massive fraud that the US is experiencing to hit other western nations. certain groups have gotten very good at it.

now lets talk about "friendships" and money. i loaned $2000.00 to the girl i lived with for a year. the premise was an investment.  ok. i never seen her or the cash- thats been mabe 4 years. i let it slide cos A; i would ahcieve nothing.,  and b, the rent i paid- and the help she gave me over that year probaly was worth the 2k. [her then husband worked on my car many times for free]

on the one hand i miss the friendship- but she is a person who thrives on chaos. she willl run her mouth and the whole town will be upset for weeks.;...  she has simce moved to the south.

Hun, if i may suggest a piece of advice,  I dont know Aussie laws- but you are a dear sweet heart. dont let anyone or anything rain on your parade of life.

to me - the real danger to you- is that you end up bitter spitefull and the light that shines in u is a bit dimmer.

dont fall for bitterness.

i send you many hugs from Penssylvania; iif it makes you feel any better I will snail mail you $5 USD; just for good luck.

big hugs!  roger

during my olle friend nancys divorce- we were going to drive her car into the canal- simply per the fact that her exhusband was awarded it.

in the end we never did so- but it was a fun thought.  BTW- they found 7 cars in teh cal-sag canal. [near chicago]

We are not so unique in our thought processes some times.

OK so i did a really dumb thing....i lent one of my employees 1000 bucks, and well that was the end of him...in fact i am blocked on his skype and yahoo.

anyway you all know me, i am pretty upbeat, and i dont like to be mean, but i am in a quandry because he did give me the title to his car as collateral (5-600$)

i could go down with the police and get the car, they said they would stand guard as i got it.

but here are my questions:

i dont have a key so how would i get it?

should i do this, would it make for more bad blood?

should i take him to court instead?

if i get the judgement and he has no money how will i ever see the money?

None of your questions matter.

You own a business.

I've lost far more than this under far murkier circumstances.

If you take him to court, you'll win judgement...that's assured.  He'll likely stall you.

And you'll spend $500.00 to 2,500.00 USD in proving he was a prick.

Money ain't shit...and you're going to be pissed anyways....

Why not be pissed, with you holding the bag....than you being REALLY pissed....holding the bag...AND having spent close to 3 grand?

(Just a thought).
