Status: offline 		Ok I dont get this. I have a profile and a pic. But only a handful of dommes have viewed me. How can I improve my profiles views.

Status: offline 		that's nothing, i have a pic, clearly state in my profile "NO MEN" and also state i am straight, i even put it in my journal that men should not waste their time veiwing my full profile because there is nothing of interest to them because i am not interested in men at all...PERIOD.

what do i see when i check this function? MEN...viewing my profile. maybe this proves my point about men...they are dense.

Getting involved in the forum discussions will almost certainly help in that regard.  Even our local whine steward Mikey gets all kinds of attention because of his participation here.  Jump in and have fun.

Status: offline 		Viewing your profile and pictures does not mean that someone is "interested" in you. It simply means they looked at your profile. Hell they could have even looked at it on accident because they clicked on the wrong link. I am rather lost on how this feature causes so many issues for some. It means nothing in the big picture.

Status: offline 		just so you know that "who's viewed me" feature only lists the people who have opened your profile & viewed it in its full version, meaning... when the picture is big. It doesn't count the number of times it was viewed when the picture looks small.

Status: offline 		And also, when clicking on someones profile from the forum, it shoots you straight into the full profile. Does it really matter who is viewing you? I mean, if they view you, but dont contact you, were is the harm?

As far as the original post goes, i would say want it less. Wanting it so bad could lead to never getting it.

Status: offline 		It's not so much the views that you should count, but the actual responses to your profile, imo. :)

A better guage to see if someone is interested in you (whether as friends, or, otherwise) is to look at your admirer list. 

Your profile will register a hit, even if someone clicks on your profile from the forums.

Status: offline 		Still whining I see michael? Surely it only matters WHY they viewed, not that they have. Many probably spot posts on the forums and glance at the profile to see a little more about who they are reading.... male, female, Dom, sub, whatever, doesn't mean they are 'interested' in you beyond what you have written.

Also I know some see My name on My girls profile and check out just who her Master is, likewise some spot her name on My profile and take a look at the beautiful girl I Own. No harm in anyone looking, satisfying a moments curiosity... doesn't mean anything more than that. If they are looking for anything more then they will drop you a memo saying so (Though in Our cases that we are not looking for anything more than we already have is made crystal clear in both profiles... assuming folks bother to read them. If they don't, well thats what the block button comes in handy for.)

As far as getting more dommes to look at yours, I would agree that getting involved in some of the discussions on the boards might help.   But to be fair - just because someone looks at your profile doesn't mean they're particularly interested.

Status: offline 		I don't even bother lookking at who is looking at me.  It means nothing.  I look at people all the time for a variety of reasons and I can guarantee I am not looking at any of them out of an interest to develop a D/s relationship.  As for how to improve your profile, there have been some tips on that recently but I don't have time to search for it.  Maybe LA will happen by.  Or I'll check in later

Mike, to be fair, I don't think I've seen you say anything that wasn't whining.

To the OP: Try leaving the website open while you aren't at the computer. It will say you are still online and that will keep your name up as a person online. Might get you a few more.

I never understood this blind hostility towards others that have done nothing of actual offense. I often look at other people's profiles because I'm interested in knowing a bit more about the person who posts information on the boards, not because I want to "do" them. I have rarely ever blocked anyone. And hiding someone is kind of stupid, especially if you're hiding men while your normal search default is pulling up women.

When my profile was active, I actually found it interesting to see who was viewing my profile, so I could see who might be interested in what I wrote. I didn't care if it was a man or a woman, a submissive or a dominant. To get all bent out of shape over people who don't actually contact me is ludicrous. Why even post a profile in the first place if you're not interested in others seeing it. I'll let you in on a little secret that someone with your attitude will NEVER realize, especially with the whole blocking and hiding mentality: A couple of women have contacted me through men they knew on this site. If I had blocked those men because I was in a hissy fit over them viewing my profile, those women would never have contacted me at all. One of them, today, is a really good friend of mine.

In my opinion, you're making a huge deal out of nothing Micheal.  RavenMuse hit the nail on the head with his post.  On the rare occasions when I look at the list, I see all kinds of people have viewed my profile to see who I am.  The only reason that would make any logical sense to me, is simply because they've read one of my posts.

As others have noted, getting involved in the boards is absolutely the best way to meet someone here on CM!  If nothing else, you may get a message on the other side from someone who'd like to privately comment on what you've posted in the forums or perhaps further discuss it with you.  It's happened to me many times and it's how I met the woman who recently took me has Hers. 
 
She contacted me about 6 months ago after reading one of my posts.  We corresponded and IM'd each other before meeting, where there was indeed a lot of chemistry between us.  We then took the time to get to know each other as people; deciding we shared a lot of interests and liked each other as friends a great deal.  Things naturally developed from there.  We're now in a growing relationship where we've agreed that things are exclusive between us.  It's acknowledged that she's the Dominant and I'm HER submissive in the relationship we have.  All I can say is that I'm very happy to be HER submissive as we continue to learn about each other and build a relationship that seems to be filling both of our needs & desires.

Your profile is very easy to read without going to your full profile because it is so short. You don't have photos either. There isn't much reason for someone to view your full profile... If you want to change that, put up some photos and flesh out your profile. Personally, the only time I go to a full profile is either from the forums (you're not given a choice) when I want to see more detail on a photo or when the profile has interested me, yet is too long to be shown in its entirety.
 
I recommend you take a photograph with one of your (or a friend's) animals. My husband constantly gets mail about the cute kitties in his photos. I'm not sure what the current collarme standard is, but I think your main photo has to be one of you rather than a photo of just your pet or landscape. For a period of time, they also required full face only photos, but I've been seeing headless body shots and clothed backside shots again recently.
 
Also, if you have a photo on your profile, your profile actually shows up as one of the "featured" ones. (The ones you see when the page loads.) Profiles without photos generally do not show up and get less attention. Good luck.

But just because I looked absolutely doesn't mean I am gonna proposition them, it's a good ole dose of human curiosity

And equal amounts of everything else EXCEPT dommes.

I'm with RavenMuse on this one... I hit your profile earlier today just to see who you were and I got there from the forum so it brought me straight to your full profile.

and there are times when I enjoy reading what people say in their profiles and in the journal as well. You never know where you may be able to draw inspiration from that you can use.

and there are times when you make friends with someone who you never knew you would.
