ORIGINAL: petdave Just curious what percentage of the CC "regulars" filter out EVERYTHING coming from men, submissives in particular. There have been a couple of times that i thought of writing to female s-types who had posted thoughts to the forums that really resonated with me, only to abandon the message halfway through because it would likely never be seen. Should there be a "don't speak unless spoken to" rule, as has been in place in some e-mail lists i've been on? Should a male who is truly is only looking for friends to talk with online stick to female profiles? Whatchoo think? I read everything... even troll im's . But I'm nosy, soooo.... meah. Imnsho, write to whomever strikes your fancy. You never know. I've had Dom's im me (I'm listed as Lesbian, and emphatically state that I do not sub to males), wanting to know why I've viewed their profile - what I found attractive, turn-off, etc. Others just want someone to chat with, get an idea of what is expected (usually this is from 'older' Doms who aren't that familiar with nettequette). Some are less than pond scum, but to date, I've only had maybe half a dozen. No, I don't think there should be a "don't speak unless spoken to" rule. If no one speaks, how do you get spoken to??? Besides, this IS the net. Freaks, wannabee's and gov't conspirists abound. Don't like it? Get off the net! Simple As for sub males... I answer all im's. Even one-liners. Sometimes they write back with another one-liner... on and on until they get rude or stop iming me. Others have become rather good online friends, and are now on my MSN list. *shrugs* Depends on the person. Good luck & best wishes
