i started using the men's Mach 3 because i ran out of my Venus blades. since then, i have never used a women's razor, i love the Mach 3. And immediately after shaving, i use aloe vera gel all over the area. It is wonderful, it cools it down after shaving and i haven't even had as much as 1 raised red bump since i started using it. This time of year aloe vera gel is easy to find, they sell it in large bottles to help after a sunburn...even better, it's not expensive. [:D]

Any my legs burn like they are on fire if I put lotion on them after shaving [:D]

We're all different, I guess.

I just had to let you know, I received my "free" Quattro razor in the mail today and I love it! I've never had such a close smooth shave with 100% no irritation, razor bumps, or burn! I will never use anything else again!!!!

[:D]

Oh sure, you say that now. Just wait until Gillette, in an attempt to win the shaving wars outright, releases their new Octo razor with 8 blades.

I wax - with sugaring. Bled a bit first time but since then no problems... No rash, no designer stubble...

txrebel -> RE: Shaving question??????? (6/23/2005 2:17:19 PM)

If the rash continues, you may want to see your doctor. Don't be embarrassed, I understand they see this quite a bit. While I have been fortunate enough not to have experienced it (yet), I have a nephew who let it go too long, and his doctor was close to having him hospitalized. There is medication that can clear it up, but it doesn't seem to be anything to mess with.

shaving is fun while someone is doing it to someone but for best results, wax!

sanita -> RE: Shaving question??????? (6/25/2005 4:50:46 PM)

i have to be really careful what i use. i am allergic to aloe, and it causes blisters on my skin. (yes, aloe toilet paper=horrible.)

every new and improved razor i come across has that specal moisturizing strip. Most don't even mention it has aloe in it, unless they are touting the strip. i used to use the razor that had the fine safety wires around the blades, but they started coming with aloe.

also, i am obese. it is just not feasible to go after certain areas with a razor without an extra hand. *l* it is awkward, and way too close to a major artery. as i have been losing weight, it has been getting a little easier. i am looking forward to the day i can make it just how He likes it.

now, most of the time i use Nair once a week, and shave the rest of the time. i use Skintimate shave gel, and that is some great stuff! i use any razor i can find which is double bladed, and no strip. i just buy them whenever i can spot them, and have a stash.

the Aveeno shave minimizing lotion is some very good, very soothing stuff, too!

It's a scrubby thing that is used to remove dead skin and the like

dan217 -> RE: Shaving question??????? (6/28/2005 10:50:29 AM)

Simply buy PH neutral soap and the sores and spots will go away do not apply moisurising creme afterwards.I shave every second day.To get rid of the sores spots you currently have Purchase Propolis from you chemists or drug store and spread it over the affected area with a cotton swab it will intially stain you brown/yellow but will clear up your sores.
Do not use an electric razor it will hurt like hell 15 minutes later and you'll come out in lots of red spots or at least I did.

All the best Dan

zaynab -> RE: Shaving question??????? (7/4/2005 3:32:22 AM)

according to The Loving Dominant book

shave, then wash whole area with betadine, rinse well, pat dry
do this for 5 days in a row
if rash seems to resist, might try using the betadine to wash a few times per day for those 5 days

after that should be fine..... betadine removes tiny bacteria particles left behind by soap and water, this is what causes the rash, the bacteria on the skin
