They're all close. People have known Hillary Clinton since 1992, they only know Rudy's image, not his specifics [his own daughter won't vote for him]. Once Rudy gets the scruting that Hilary has had for many years he'll drop like a stone.

Well, that doesnt mean much. I'm sure if I ran for office there are some members of my family that wont vote for me. My family is so divided politically that politics is off-limits at family reunions or gatherings.

I believe that...

Laugh...he's made it all the way to your "to watch" list?

Christ, people, the election is nearly 14 months away.  There's plenty of time for "my horse is gonna beat your horse" bullshit.

Obama is a strong candidate.  His oratorical skills are refreshing (especially in recent years).  He's on my 'to watch' list.

You are absolutely right and dead-ass wrong, LaM.  The only poll that will mean anything at all will be in November of '08.  Until then though, there is much amusement to had, and perhaps even some opinions might be shifted along the way.  It's kinda football with a never ending season, only with a much higher percentage of career-ending injuries.  Or perhaps like a stock car race, where only one lap actually matters but you have to last that long, and most of the excitement comes out of nowhere along the way.

I'm not only a politically active sort of person, I'm also a fan of the show [:D] (and often a critic).  I'm standing by what I said 5 months ago, Obama has been worth watching.  His gaffe on the use of nuclear weapons was pretty good.  We are still too far out for me to have a good opinion on whether he'll make the bottom of the ticket.

Would that be "Nobel Peace Prize winning James Earl Carter III" you're referring to?

The very same, Suzanne.  Mr double digit unemployment AND interest rates, himself.  Then of course, we have his utter failure to respond appropriately in the hostage situation.  I don't know Jimmy Carter, the individual.  President Carter was a flop.

Is that flop in a sense that George W. Bush isnt?

Sinergy

p.s.  Carter played by the rules to get elected, that nitwit that you clowns elected was so unelectable you had to defraud the American people during the election to keep him.

Owing to my particular and peculiar ideas of respect for the office, Sinergy, you'll have to wait about 16 months for my answer on that one where foreign policy is concerned.  Values can be a real pain in the ass sometimes.
