Mmm, I think some people on here need to realize we're not mad about people rejecting us for our weight, we're mad about them insulting us for our weight. At least, that's my P.O.V.

I get that, which was why I posted this

quote:

It is one thing to have a preference (like height, skin color, weight, and that sort of thing), but quite another to devalue and insult people that are not your ideal. I read a lot of insulting comments by certain people on the weight loss thread in gen discussion, like people who are not beautiful or skinny are not desireable... well those same people that make those statements are usually the ones that hold themselves up against an external yardstick and they always come up short no matter how thin and beautiful they are...  I say this because it seems like some people may have let that thread hurt their feelings, all that really matters is that we like ourselves. It is really hard to get someone else to like you if you spend all your time looking for validation from the outside.

I will reiterate, it is one thing to have a preference, it is another to denigrate someone for not being your personal ideal.

I do not use these powers against him.

Somehow it would seem extremely unsubmissive to do so

Although he does have his hands full dealing with me for other reasons.

When I do become bigotted is when I get on a plane and then someone arrives who thinks they are entitled to half my seat as well as the one they paid for. Excess baggage ..... to bloody right ...... If you require two seats, ..... you pay for them don't expect me to.... well my company !!!   lol

My two cents on the airline seat...I blame the ailrlines for packing us in like sardines. It took a while to dig this up but, here's some stats

"Coach seats on U.S. domestic flights are usually either 17.2 or 18 inches wide; on longer flights, economy-class seats on wide-bodied planes tend to be slightly larger, up to 18.5 inches. (A seat in an average economy car is 22 inches wide while an ordinary office chair measures 19 inches.)"

I've been on both sides of this coin. When I was a larger girl, being in an airline seat was so heartbreaking. I would sit there, trying to keep my arms close to my body so as not to annoy the person next to me. Doing that for 2-4 hours is horrid. Not to mention how the arms of the seats press into your legs. It hurt. Flat out, hurt. Fortunately, I have lost some of that uncomfortable weight and the seats are not an issue now. Though I feel much better about myself, I have never forgotten the humiliation of being squeezed into a seat too small for me, with no way to do anything about it in the moment.

I realize I got myself in that position physically, me, just me. And have and continue to take steps to improve that.

I don't have a solution, other than to hope that airlines widen their seats to a slightly more comfortable width....or offer a few seats of 'width' for persons of size. That way more normal sized people are not inconvenienced by larger people, and larger people are more comfortable on their trip. (Though this is probably not the place to get a change like that instated)

"Anyway, getting back to the actual issue: I am much more likely to want to "fatten up" a submissive who, in my view is to skinny than to look at a beautiful lady who happens to be carrying a few extra pounds and wish she would lose it."

Sure do like your outlook voiced up above Michael...very nicely said

Just remember that when they turn you down, they are saving you some trouble. You get to move onto the next one and get closer to the person who will love for you for who you are, be it boney, curvy, redheaded, blonde, blue-eyes, 12-toed, footless, Republican, Athestist, Christian or whatever!

Yeah but where are we to find that woman who has a bony ass, curvy top, redheaded natural blonde with blue eyes and 12 toes on her only foot thats also a republicrat ?????

In fact you are correct, at 5'4" the healthy weight range is 125-145 pounds.  I bet you look better at 140 too.  I know I do.  I think the skinny standard is sick.

i think that if a women is displeased with her image she should change it. This would not always mean losing weight however. As someone earlier pointed out you can lose all the weight you want and still think you are fat. Change your hair, your style, your job, your friends.... plainly put ...if your world is all screwed up ... rearrange it.
Okay i didn't really say that ...Trooper did. But for the OP, to me it doesn't sound like you are interested in changing your appearance and that is just fine too but it doesnt sound as though you are very happy about yourself. Try to get that out of your system. It is our own self worth that restricts us or allows us to fly.

i would like to add something to this. if you can't see anything nice in a person because of their cover then it's like not picking up a book because of it's cover... you will never know how good or bad the book may be.. just like the person. yes, each person has their own opinion and their own choice. that doesn't make it right for them to force their opinions on others. (not meaning here) yes, i am a bigger sub. my profile states that i am a bbw. i am me. i will always be me. that is no reason for someone to send me a message being extremely rude to me. i don't send people messages to alot of people for that reason alone. if someone wants to talk to me then they will message me. yet, rudeness hurts. i learned something from those ones that do feel like they have to run someone else down. "Kill Them With Kindness" works for me. i send them a message saying something like "thank you". they tend to a) leave you alone in the future.. or b) send you a message back that lets you know how you flabberghasted them by being kind or nice. if they are that way from the beggining do you realy want to know those kind of people? not me. i certainly hope that my words offend no one.  peace to all :) lady

Unfortunately I find that to be absolutely a horrible analogy....It is true that I cannot tell what is inside of a book by it's cover....But I can tell what is inside someone who is overwieght....And it usually is a lot of fat....They might be the nicest person in the world and I wouldn't  want to embrace a friendship based solely on appearance....But the chance of a relationship on a romantic level would never happen...I'm sorry but it is the truth. I am not physically attracted to someone who is substantially overweight....It is my preference....Shallow, possibly....Honest, definitely.

I've been seeing alot of threads lately related to weight issues. I want to let men out there know just how cold and heartless it is for them to turn women down because of their weight. Some of us can't help what our bodies look like. Many have health issues and others like me have permanently disfigured bodies to to pregnancy. It's easy for men to say plenty of women have babies and don't gain weight. Maybe they just got lucky. My body was disfigured because too much amniotic fluid surrounded the baby. It had nothing to do with how much I ate or exercised during the pregnancy. When this happens a woman's skin is horribly stretched. After the pregnancy, it doesn't go away. It stays there and sags. No amount of dieting or exercise will make the sagging skin disappear. There is no way a tummy tuck can be done without leaving a long horrible scar. Men don't have to worry about this happening to them, so it's really easy for them to say there is no excuse for women to be overweight. These are the type of men who cheat on and/or divorce their mates because they only desire women who have perfect bodies. Yet many of these same men would call a woman a murderer if she ever had an abortion. I'm not saying all men are this way. I'm talking to the men who are. Stop putting women down because of their weight.

While I agree with you that they shouldnt be so cold...unfortunately,people are who they are.No matter how many times you try to get them to see its not polite to you, they seem to not care.
The best thing to do is forget them. The fact I know they are missing out on something that could be an awesome experience...is enough for Me to keep on smiling

edited to add...My opinion of the book analogy...I can tell by a cover whether I like that type of book.Reading the back cover gives Me a clue as to what is inside,I dont need to read the whole book to get the jest of its inner content.

Well, I thought I would throw in my humble two cents into this topic.

I'm a BBW submissive. Yes, I'm overweight. Yes, I know this. Does this make me any less of a person? No. (And if you want to get technical, it makes me a bigger person! ).

I can't control my weight. I have polycystic ovarian syndrome. Because of that, my weight goes up and down and I may never be able to have children. And before the PCOS, I was a cheerleader. I'm not overweight to the point that I can't move. I don't sit around and eat Twinkies all day. I'm very active, very entergetic, and besides the PCOS, I'm extremely healthy.

I don't care if someone doesn't want me because of my weight, because reguardless, I'm still beautiful. I know it every time I look into the mirror and see my blue eyes and a sweet smile on my full lips. I know it every time I see someone hurting and I lend a hug. I know it every time I see my own two hands create something. I'm beautiful, inside and out. And if someone passes me up, it's their loss. Not mine. And it's their right. And I know that my Master, whomever He turns out to be, will see all of the beauty I hold me...inside...and out.

Yes, here we go again. I've only copied and pasted Domiguy's post here, not b/c my response is only to him, but b/c it was the most recent. And I refuse to read the entire thread, but I did see one post near the beginning that expressed a similar opinion.

Everyone is entitled to their preferences. I have no problem with that. And honestly, we are all wired to find one kind of body attractive over another. And we are also conditioned to prefer thin over all. Personally, while I've played/been sexually intimate with a variety of body types, I prefer men on the husky side, I like some bulk...I don't tend to prefer bodies with a lot of excess fat on them, but that has not stopped me from playing with these bodies if I found I liked the person. As for women's bodies...I like my women to have some bulk, too...I just cannot get with the skinny ones at all...but that's me. But here's the thing. If a skinny person were to write to me (and there are lots of skinnies who love us bodies of bulk, let me tell ya), and I just felt like I couldn't hook up with them b/c I just did not find them attractive enough, I would let them know I was not interested in a kind, polite and sensitive manner. I wouldn't call them names and try to berate them by telling them they need to eat more meat and bulk up...I would just let them know, very plainly and simply that I was not interested and I would thank them very much for writing. Some people on this site just don't know how to do that. Some people think it's ok to call someone a fat heifer or whatever. That's uncalled for, rude, incredibly unkind and not worth it. It's perfectly fine to not find a fat body attractive. It's not fine to hurl insults. So, that's the point I wanted to make.

That's one of the problems. The fact that one is rejected because of weight (their personal preferences) is often taken as an insult.  The reject, how uninsulting as it is portrayed, is taken as an insult. That's a lose- lose situation.

I do like to joke around a great deal....But it is funny if I state I prefer red heads over blondes no one really gets up in arms over it.....If someone states they prefer a nonsmoker over a smoker no one bats an eye....I am more attracted to someone who is healthy, attractive and intelligent.... and I clearly said someone who is "substantially" overweight...And the deffinition of "substantially" varies from one person to the next....I am the only person who makes the judgement of what type of person I find to be acceptable or not...And after all it is a two way street is it not?

And from these forums I think it would be not to hard to ascertain that I am a fairly "happy" person.   But that is impossible to tell! I could be in jail....And yet somehow I still am at peace with my environment.
