*blink* That is a biological and evolutionary impossibility, and emotionally based nonsense of the worst kind.
Substitute the statement "Male lions (Panthera leo) are less evolved than female lions" for "Male humans (Homo sapiens) are less evolved than female humans" and you'll get an idea how absurd and ridiculous this statement is to anyone who has half a clue about science, biology and evolution. Species evolve as species in the context of their environment. Some species evolve sexually dimorphic traits in response to environmental or intraspecific pressures. One of those pressures is competition between the sexes to maximize individual genetic survival as well as species and group survival. But one gender does not and cannot evolve without the other.
Sexual evolution, and really evolution in general, is something of a perpetual arms race, with many competitors and pressures from all sides constantly upping the ante and changing the environment. Every species that is active in this race will continue to evolve in response to those changing pressures, though there may be quite long periods of relative stability for many species, especially the more specialized ones. Google "Red Queen Hypothesis" for some interesting reading.
Perverting science to the ends of political or religious ideology is loathsome and contemptible. I have no respect for anyone who claims to be an academic who engages in this manner of intellectual cowardice, corrupting and perverting data to support their personal emotional beliefs. I'm sorry that some people apparently feel so insecure about themselves that they feel the need to make up bogus science to shore up their egos. But not that sorry, since there's not much that pisses me off more than bogus science.
