I was just wondering... How put off are slaves/subs by the screennames of those who try to contact you? Would an overly agressing one, or, perhaps one to wimpy-sounding cause you to think twice, or three times, even, about replying to an initial attempt at social intercourse? The question is cached within the context that you are otherwise open to being contacted. Or, at a minimum, haven't ruled out a particular gender/age-group/category of whomever is trying to initiate contact, of course.

I tend to avoid those with '69' in the name...and refuse to answer mail from somebody with references to penial length or expertise. Same with anything to do with oral sex... Oh, or dogs. <sigh> But, that's just me, B

Nope that doesn't phase me either. Clever nicks do catch my eye/mind and often intrigue me but for me a bad screen name is just that. When i was trying to make a connection.... Yes, there were dominants i passed by because of their nicks. I couldn't take them seriously. For all the reasons Bearlee listed - and more. I'm equally judgemental - i rolled my eyes at many subs, too. I used to have another nick - littlechameleon - i got my fair share of rude comments concerning it.

I have a whole journal entry about just such. I am very picky and feel that if the name is overtly sexual chances are the person is a "do me" or a poser and I move on....right or wrong it is what it is. D~

I agree with others, someones choice of screen names says a lot about the person, and while I understand that it can be difficult to come up with your first choice, since that may be taken, with some creativity one can come up with a better name than ones that are blatant in their sexual innuedos, first impressions mean a lot to me and that includes ones choice of a screen name.

I tend to pay attention more to creative, thought provoking names, or clever ones. Innuendos are okay...better that then BigDickedDom or something. And ones like NYDom42 sort of bother me. I like creative people. On the otherhand, i've gotten crap about my screen name. Some say it sounds more Domme than sub. Who says subbies cant tempt souls, too?

An explicit screen name usually earns an insta-block from me. I have zero interest in interacting with random strangers whose first introduction is the equivalent of shoving their dick in my face.

i actually tend to ignore the ones that have "Sir" or "Master" in their sn, in addition to the overly sexual references. For me, calling someone by a title such as Sir, Master or Madam must come naturally. After that it can be enforced, of course, but unless you've been knighted, I don't think you should introduce yourself as SirPunishment, etc. Just my opinion!

I really dont care what the name is as it may not be be what I continue to call them. But I am completely turned off by- " Oh I am great at oral service and would love to provide oral service but I would hate it becuase it is sooooooo humiliating but I would do it just for you Mistress..." Now if I change my name to " Mistresswantsoralservice 4ever" I think the responses might shut this server down.

i have no interest in screennames that are IN CAPS and/or that tend to boast about their size / sadistic personality. same thing goes for female submissives/Dommes even though i don't view their profiles back after viewing mine.

Names announcing race, size of penis, or discipline style tended to be dismissed by me. For example "aryandom" or MasterTenInch" or 'FirmMaster" or "strictdom" tended to turn me off

There are screennames which cause me to seriously question rather it will be possible to have a fullfilling conversation (much less anything else) with someone. Many of the things people noted here. I never rule someone out because of thier sn, I generally write and ask 'Tell me about your screenname.' But, I am almost never wrong, it makes one think about giving up on such hope.

What makes a screenname unappealing to me? Other people have said much the same but anything like: subby12345 12lickyourbigtoe lowlyscumbaguselessslaveslime needabigbootydomme forcemetobeyourslut sluttylesbianhottiegirlsub has a good chance of being deleted.

I don't really care about screennames although i must admit if it said.. skinheadMaster or Lordstinkycock or somethin of that nature i'd be pretty put off and probably ignore them.
