Just out of complete curiosity i'm wondering what percentage of the states side cmers actually do own a gun. Im not looking for debate on whether its right or wrong, just who does own one.

I don't any more, but I used to own one really sweet rugar GP 100 357 magnum... wasnt half bad with it either... the person that purchased it for me used to call me Annie Oakly.

Personally though, I prefer compound bow.... silent death.... or maybe its just that thwaaap sound an arrow makes when it hits its mark  *shrugs*

Be well,

Gun toting American here.
Sig Sauer 9mm. Awesomeeeee for target shooting. (Target shooting can be calming oddly enough. It takes concentration and focus plus the benefit of the big boom.)
.22 rifle. Old, uncleaned & unused.
Air rifle bbgun, my favorite! I bet that one doesn't count though huh. It is the only one I use with any regularity now. Watch out squirrels....

I don't own any handguns, but I do have two bolt action .22 rifles. And I'm interested in getting an M1 Carbine with a scope and a bipod for when I go to the range with two friends of mine.

I dont own a hand gun anymore but I have a .22 long rifle semi-automactic.
We are overrun with Squirrels gray and red,so when I buy ammo its the box of 500
and I like to use hollow point bullets.
I keep the gun and ammo right next to the door,I open the door just a crack
and shoot the lil fuckers right of My railing,I hate squirrels!
Not sure what comes around every night but in the morning the lil gray and red rugs are gone.
LOL...I just wrote how I was kind and caring in that other thread,I guess there is a part of Me that
enjoys the thrill of kill.

We are hunters and retired military in this family. We also live in an extremly rural area where having a rifle is more common than not.  We have numerous rifles, we have his service revolver from the military and a .44 magnum.

No license, no gun, no interest in owning one.

Interesting poll but there was one option not there:  "i am a gun owner who is not licensed though a license IS required."  Not saying i am, just sayin.......but then again, the criminal element among us certainly wouldn't want to tell on themselves or their friends........slave luci

...<smiles>...i so totally agree with how 'calming' target shooting can be...it is a favorite pass time of this girl's...she owns an air rifle for the sake of her bird feeders (the squirrels will eat through anything!!!) and she lives too close to the road to shoot them with anything else...she owns two bolts action rifles...a couple of shotguns (one sawed off for 'varment' protection)...two revolvers (which are her favorites) and an automatic that she carries for personal protection when she travels...she loves her guns...

Will never own a gun, since they do nothing for me. They would never actually be ready if i was actually in danger. But i have shot an M16 one too many times in my life.
