Hmm. You like katanas, do you? I've never had the opportunity to use the one I described in the other thread during a session, but I imagine that would be exciting with the right partner. The blade itself was forged by a smith in China with some small customizations ... they utilize a limited folding technique that produces competition-worthy blades, but doesn't carry the astronomical price of a blade forged by one of the masters. It's fairly simple, but I tend to prefer minimalism ... standard tsuka with a custom tsuba and menuki, but I'm considering adding sharkskin this summer. The saya is solid bamboo and black-lacquered, but etched with an excerpt from Sun Tzu's "Art of War" in Chinese.

i'm a sub, and have a carry permit, and... off the top of my head, i'm not exactly sure how many guns. More than i can carry around at any one time. My state doesn't require any kind of permit just for ownership.

Won't argue that ... weapons in general produce that lovely effect. I do admit that I prefer firearms for that sort of 'accessorization,' though. lol

Ironically enough, seeing as how I work in law enforcement, I do not own a gun. My position is within the secure perimeter of a correctional facility and I am not required to be weapon certified for the position. I have no plans to buy one in the future. I know how to shoot one (the last correctional facility I worked at required that I have basic proficiency) but I do not like them at all. I am glad other people have them, but I just don't like messing with them on a personal level.

More than one...several more...most locked safely away except for those we keep handy for personal defense. We do practice regularily....me a couple times a week and Mrs. C at least once a month. We started carrying (CCW and all) once she opened her business and was going in to prep for the day at 3:00 AM or so. "Automatic" laser sights, and when she pulls the trigger it hits within an inch of that red dot at 7 yards. (about 6.5 meters)

No paintball guns, but I DO have some Bb and pellet rifles that are fun for shooting targets on boxes in the back yard. Next purchase will be a Red Ryder, just because I never got one for Christmas!

Oh, and one nice recurve 45lb target bow and two, count 'em two, slingshots! Broadsword my son made for my daughter hanging around back when you could actually make them in shop class!

Maybe there is a linkage for subs and guns?

Yep I own several firearms and have for many years. I also have a small, but nice collection of swords and daggers.

This has become a very interesting thread I didnt realize there were so many gun packing girls ( ladies ) around , I am usually not far from one at home, the lake,or in the truck. For carry I prefer a colt 45,,for up close and personal give me a 12 ga pump, something about rack'n one that gets everyones attention ,at distance now my presnt favorite (of the moment) is a 300wsm using 180 grain, at 500 yards it drops 3 inches .Still have the sniper mentally I guess ,long and sure .

I have never felt the need, want, or desire to own a gun of any sort personally. Which probably has my Grandfather muttering and shaking his head in the spirit realm as he founded and owned a rifle range; and was a life long member of the NRA.
