I've never had the opportunity to use the one I described in the other thread during a session, but I imagine that would be exciting with the right partner. The blade itself was forged by a smith in China with some small customizations ... they utilize a limited folding technique that produces competition-worthy blades, but doesn't carry the astronomical price of a blade forged by one of the masters. It's fairly simple, but I tend to prefer minimalism ... standard tsuka with a custom tsuba and menuki, but I'm considering adding sharkskin this summer. The saya is solid bamboo and black-lacquered, but etched with an excerpt from Sun Tzu's "Art of War" in Chinese. -Sicarius
