Heya all,

I have been updating my profile and want to update my pictures too as I have had the same one for years. My thoughts are about privacy though. I'm a college student and will be graduating and needing a job in a few years. It would be pretty easy for someone to figure out who I am and haze or deny employment because of this. At the same time they would have to be lifestyle driven or just fucking nosey to check a site like cm.com.

If you don't post a facail picture then viewiers might wonder why you didn't. Even though this could be remidied by emailing a pic once conversation takes off, it may prevent that conversation from starting.

What do you guys/gals think?

i dont really think you should worry about it. i used to think the same thing. but then i just thought...fuggit. youre right if they find it they must be on there for a reason, so you might just make a new friend at work, and if its cuz they are poking around in your privacy, well then yeh you could be screwed. there is that risk of unwanted humiliation...

many people have shared that the whole picture approval process has been a royal pain in the butt (& not the good kind)

I'd say leave well enough alone because you might find yourself with no picture at all.

I have noticed on some profiles that if you don't have a picture don't bother contacting them.. what is up with that? I understand not wanting anyone to know what your private life is like, but in my personal experience if they are looking at CM then they have some reason to be there. Of course I live in a small town that probably doesn't even know places like CM exist but I wouldn't worry about personally but it could be a problem considering what you are majoring in.

thats cuz they at least want a better placebo. a pic could still be a lie, but its better than the thought of...omg what if i meet them, and they're hideous.

Yeah but then you are risking people finding you like the op mentioned. Wouldn't it be more sensible to ask for one after they talk and think it would be worth while persuing the relationship? I personally don't mind people seeing my pic but some people on here might be in a very comprimising postion when related to their jobs. It just confuses me I guess.

yehh thats true. i prolly wouldnt have my pic up if i had to risk loosing my job, or worse. a pic now-a-days is just expected. it doesnt just show you, it shows youre real. it also shows you have a camera,(it means something) and it catches the eye. when a profie shows up and i see a hottie, im not gonna lie, im gonna read the profile. prolly wont message, unless its either worth it, they seem cool, or if im bored and feel like teasing a $$ domme.(i use the word domme lightly there)....the best idea i can thik of is if youre really in fear of getting spotted online, then just dont show your face, and send it later...
