We haven't come across any problems that i can think of just now as far as co existing as a D/s couple in a vanilla world. Doesn't matter where we are or what we are doing i always know my place and He is very much aware of His at all times, it's just who we are...we have a M/s relationship and i am pretty micro managed, so even though i work outside the home and am able to run errands and go out on my own i always know that if there's a decision to be made it goes through Him first...in many ways i think it's not too different than how the traditional "old fashioned" couples use to be back in the day.... there's much respect, He is the head of the house, He makes all of the decisions etc...
