just wanted to create a line of text so that if you hover over the link you don't see anything that spoils the book... SNAPE IS GOOD... WONDERFUL ACTUALLY... (theres an entire chapter depicting exactly this... ) i just wanted to post this in response to all the "snape is a bad guy" postings... and i really love how wrong you were about that. i wanted him to be good. i always knew i liked him just a little. dumbledore asked snape to kill him... because he was gonna die within a year anyway after his hand got singed. the curse that did that was very powerful. so there are tons of other situational things (not wanting the death on draco's concience... making snape the inheritor of the really powerful wand, keeping snape looking like he's on V's side) that caused Dumbledore to ask Snape to kill him... but it was infact requested... so all the hating all of you did at the end of book 6... get over yourself. It was assisted suicide... anyway... snape is on dumbledore's side entirely... theres an entire conversation at the end of the book between HP and V about snape and who he was to Voldy. Simply a spy... The book tore my heart out and smashed it to pieces and then glued it back together again nicely and replaced it in my chest.

I have not read the book,I suppose I will at some time,but I do not mind knowing the outcome as the enjoyment for me is in the reading. Hahaha,Snape is good,that I knew from the start despite everyone saying I had a warped sense of view.It is often that the obvious baddie is not such,that being too obvious for me. I really must catch up with the books,I had just started to read book five when I was stopped.

Snape is not good. Snape is infatutaed with the Dark Arts from an early age. Snape is a bigoted hypocrite who doesn't understand why hating all the muggle born but the one he has a crush on isn't likely to help in winning her heart. Snape only wanted to save Lily he didn't care if James or Harry died. Even after Lily was killed Dumbledore had to convince Snape to help in keeping Harry safe as the only way to preserve some part of Lily.

Well, I simply meant that Snape isn't and was never on Voldermorts side... I didnt mean to say he's a good person... he's just not in line with Voldermort... He played up that relationship at dumbledores request... not of his own accord. His loyalties lie with Dumbledore not with Voldermort... and in the end... its made very clear that Dumbledore is actually a bit more evil and decieving than snape, who is really just a follower... having been teased all his life... and he just wants to be accepted... thats really what it comes down to in my eyes

Things I still want to know: What happened to the Malfoy's (and why they hell wasn't it shown to us) at the mansion after Harry and the others escaped from the dungeon? Where's Moody's body? Who killed Lupin and Tonks? How did Colin Creevy sneak back in? Who did Draco marry? Who's the new Head Master at Hogwarts and who is teaching Defense against the Dark Arts? Which of the Weasley children got married, had children and what are they doing now? (RIP Fred) What does Harry do for a living? He's loaded, so does he even have to work? What about Ron and Hermoine for that matter? I'd have loved a longer, more complete epilogue. Gotta talk Potter with Ms. but will be back later for more thread news. :) Celeste PS: Level.. Harry got killed.. it just didn't take. [8D]

yes... harry did die... here's how that works harry was a horcrux... he had to die because the 7th piece of Voldy's soul was inside him... from when Voldy killed his parents... which was why they were so interconnected so harry died... surrendered himself to Voldy... had a 20 page long talk with Dumbedore at King's Cross, about how his life wasn't over and like the other horcruxes... they don't die when the piece of the soul in them is vanquished... and then went back to earth and with Neville's help, took out Voldy entirely. woot! great book

I had to read the spoiler on Wikipedia because my UM refused to part with her book.[:-] So this is the info I got from there. I knew Snape was going to die. Being a double agent you usually end up that way. But it still made me kind of sad. I had secretly hoped that Harry would end up marrying Luna Lovegood, but Ginny is ok. My jaw dropped when I read that Fred died and that his Mom Holly killed Bellatrix. But you piss off a Mom and she will kick your ass! ~Lashra

well, Ron's mom killed her because she was going after Ron... one Weasely had already been lost, and Ron's mom wasn't about to let another child die... defend your nest, i suppose

* * * * * Ok one totally agree with what DomKen said in regards to snape. he was an obsessive stalkerish git. His main and only concern was lily if not for the fact she was the dark lord's target Snape would have followed snake boy to the ends of the earth. Moody's body was never recovered its never clear who killed tonks and remus I saw that coming however when they made Harry godfather. There is no mention of Malfoy's wife just his son. Myself and a few others fill the epi should have abeen a bit more fleshed out and that it should not have focused on Harry ron Mione and Ginny. Two thumbs up for Neville gettig the killing blow in on Nagi. I think we can assume that Mcgonall is probably Headmistress of Hogwarts. And was anyone else dissapointed that Umbridge didn't get a serious ass beating?
