Surprised, no, but I don’t usually listen to those who sell crazy; we’re all stocked up here.

Maybe I heard it wrong, it sounded to me like the group is financing him. Make your checks payable… to me!!! Well, at least that’s what I heard.

Is it me, or did he look like he was heading to an execution? Perhaps he had to keep a sullen expression on his face, so he didn’t break out laughing?

I can picture that…

He steps up to the podium… looks out amongst the crowd… suddenly he snickers… only holding it for a moment, before breaking out into a full roaring laugh… eyes start watering from laughing so hard.. slaps his knee, as he tries to speak.
“I… *laugh*… I just can’t do it anymore! I’ve had you guys going for so long.”*more laughs*
“You bunch of dumbasses…”
*breaks out into more laughter*
“Hey, where’s my pipe? I wanna tell um the story about how it all will happen… again!”

I guess I was waiting for the punch line and was disappointed when it didn’t happen.

What is the problem, exactly, that I posted the video in the first place? You see, it's not solely about extreme Christian buttheads. It's also about the Jewish buttheads that associate with them.

I respect your faith: I don't believe Christianity's about what these idiots are doing. I'm surprised you feel offended by it, instead of merely laughing at it.

Great Question.There has been many predicted dates,and all have kinda laughably passed by.

But these wackiest of the wackos,the christian right,won`t be deterred by failure.God help us.....

They truly believe that "THEY",will see the "end times".This bunch,today`s(as in 2007) Christian right,think that they`ll be "blessed" enough,lol to witness Jesus` 2nd coming.They believe the conflict in Iraq is god`s plan,and bush is god`s agent on earth.(I know,weird)I heard that bush embraces that view as well.Imagine that,bush believes he`s part of the prophecy written about in the bible.

They believe that for the "second coming"to happen,Israel must be destroyed(b/c the bible tells them so.I`m not making this up,folks.They truly feel that all Jews will then" come to Christ",so it will be  "all good in the hood",and Israel`s destruction won`t matter,cause we`ll all be in heaven next to Jesus anyway.

The christian right is so arrogant,and so supremely selfish,that they`ll  force "Armageddon" on us,even if god really has plans for it for an other time.That ain`t good enough for this bunch of powerful nuts.That`s why they`re for the bombing of Iran,lol,not for US security,but to bring on Armageddon!!Get it?Their interst is in promoting war,creating chaos and mayhem.Not in peace and living peacefully.They want to bring this thing on,so that they selfishly get to see it happen in person,lol.If you saw top republican leader "Tom Delay" say that he thought,hoped and wanted the 2nd coming to occur and "soon",you`ll get an insight into today's republican leadership.That`s not un typical for today`s GOP leadership.

From bush on down,this wacko "narrative of Armageddon",influences US foreign policy.bush talks w/ Pat Robertson once a week or more.Why should he have access to bush like that?He`s not the only rightwing christian wacko influencing bush and US foreign policy.Try to tell people about his,and they think you`re a nut,b/c it sounds so un-believable.If you convince someone that these nut`s are real and in Washington DC,they`ll say that the Christo-wackos don`t really have  that much influence.
With all that in mind,think about bush and think about the middle east....

Our new Surgeon General is a Christian-right nut(google it).You couldn`t`t get a job working for the US gov. in Iraq,unless you answered "no" on your application,to the question ,"Do you support a woman`s right to have an abortion".lol That`s true! Unless you were anti abortion,you couldn`t get hired.These nutty people,and you saw them in this film,are now laced through out our government,like a cancer.

FYI,"cool-aid drinkers" is a humorous way to refer to those folks who blindly follow bush and the neo-conservatives.The cool-aid being spiked(w/ drugs),and it`s drinkers behaving like zombies or those people in "Invasion of The Body Snatchers",who got snatched.lol The amoral and simple minded world view,with where only god and george know the answers. It doesn`t refer to the poison cool-aid drunk in Jamestown by Jim Jones` poor victims.That`s a different "cool-aid" reference.

Ok,<nods>that`s possible.Do you have any examples?

The Dems for the most part,are gay friendly,sympathetic to women`s issue,and privacy rights.There may be a few PMRC types,like Tipper Gore,who want labeling on music and game packaging.But I can`t think of a Democrat crusading on morality or running against "sin",like the GOP does.IMO

But you have a point,though We do get a lot of grief from the vanilla nation.I think it`s A-political, though.Everyone is afraid of us,lol,afraid of what they don`t understand.I think that`s why gay people are so loathed and hated,and the TV/CDs get their share too.It`s all very scary(the unknown)and most people aren`t open minded.Add to that people spreading myths and lies about your community,to flame things up.

I`m from Montclair NJ,which is as about a liberal town as you`ll find.There was a nice BD/SM shop(in Upper Montclair),that quietly did business for a number of years.One day ,some "do-gooders" discovered this "den of iniquity" ,right there in the most posh group of shops in town.They made a fuss and tried to have the shop closed.After a while the owner sold her shop to a young couple,who moved it to another location in town(the poor section),where it exists today.

Well, not "especially", no.  It happens to all kinds from all faiths.  But I think thieves who hide behind God's name to fleece anyone are horrid.  As a Christian, I have never defended that.  In my opinion, anyone who takes advantage of someone's faith (whatever faith that may be) is equally as evil.  Many terrible things are done in the name of God, Allah, whatever name you wish to insert.  It's all shameful indeed.........luci

First of all, kittensol, there is no problem.  I watched the video and, as I stated, found it quite interesting.  I certainly never said I had any problem with it being posted.  What I have a problem with is the same thing others here do:  people hiding behind their "faith" to fleece others, perpetuate hatred, etc.  Whether the "buttheads," as you say, are "extreme" Christians, Jews, Muslims, whatever..........it's equally as wrong, in my opinion.

I'm glad you don't believe Christianity is "about what these idiots are doing."  I certainly don't believe that either and the point of my original post was that it saddens me that lots of people DO believe that because of the visibility of folks like those in the video.  I am NOT offended by the posting of the video at all.  I AM offended by the actions of those in it. 

It is laughable, as you say, in a way, I suppose.  But it's too sad to me to be funny.  I feel like I can relate to those thousands and thousands of devout, non-violent Muslims who - because of the action of a violent, visible few - are all painted with the same broad brush.  That's how I feel when people like Falwell, Robertson and numerous others are the ones getting all the publicity.  Heaven forbid people think all Christians think like that[image]http://www.collarchat.com/micons/m22.gif[/image].  I know you don't but so many mistakenly do.  Thanks for posting the video.  It really was something to see and I had missed it..............luci

With all due respect, I would like to point out to you that all Christians - even all evangelical ones - do NOT believe exactly the same and certainly do not all believe or advocate all the things you've outlined above.  Maintaining that "they" all believe this or that is about as sensible as saying all Muslims think exactly alike.  I think we all know that isn't so.  For instance, not all Muslims advocate violently killing all the infidels.  Therefore, please accept the notion that not ALL Christians are "wacko," "right wing," or "nuts."  This "bunch" of "arrogant" individuals you have spoken of above certainly does not include all of us who identify as followers of Christ.  To even think that all Christians wish to "bring on" Armageddon and that their interests lie in "promoting war, creating chaos and mayhem" not in living peacefully is very ignorant.  Please open your mind enough to see there are variations within Christianity just as there are within any race, gender, religion or other group of people of any kind.
