And, to be honest, this part made me laugh in a sad sort of way.

But feminism, as much as it claims to be, is not a band-aid for the world’s problems. Feminism does not truly assist with trans issues, or men’s issues, or race issues. In a way, it only furthers the divide between men and women by pitting them against each other.

There shouldn’t be a Men’s Rights Movement, nor should there be a feminism, because women and men should be treated equally, in every respect, from the draft to child custody battles (women almost always win) to rape.

There never should have been a Women's Rights Movement either. What makes you so special as men?

Instead of whining on a blog, he should be organizing a group for men on college campuses who have been raped.

I don't claim my gender to be more important than yours. So what makes you so special as a woman?

About the writer.

He is all butt hurt over two organizations created to bring awareness of rape to women and keep it in the media. Neither organization states this does not happen to men. So, instead of calling for men to start their own organizations, he labels them all feminists (not all of them are) and bashes them repeatedly for what he, himself, isnt doing a damn thing about.

Rape is a terrible thing, no matter the sex of the person.

Men rape.

Women rape.

Men dont report as a norm.

Most women dont report.

The author talks about how men in prison are raped and its never reported, yet he still resents the fact that men are in the CHAMPS acronym. Who else is raping the men in prison?

Then he goes on to rant about McCarthy... that woman is mental and many of us women know this.

But to claim that ONLY women matter.... dont whine... get off your ass from the keyboard and do something about it! (directed towards the writer and no one here)

Look Nick. I agree that in the feminists efforts to fix some ugly problems we, as a society, didn't get everything right. I agree that it's time to start thinking about humanism not feminism. But that doesn't change the problems women still have in this world. You know... That whole war on women thing is just getting started and that is right now this instant not some historical fact. I had Carol vote Demcratic for just that reason even though I voted green and would toss Obama in prison if I could.

I also agree that most women have no clue what's going wrong for men and don't really want to know. It's a lot like the early days of feminism. Good on you for seeing the problem. But what are you DOING about it? These posts come off rather whiny. Just like all such things its going to take a change in society's viewpoints and that starts with raising awareness. That takes a movement. There are already several organized groups going. Maybe try joining one and actively participating? You could start a local chapter of something.

In the mean time, you cannot escape the repressive legal landscape but at the personal level you can do as I do and choose your female friends carefully. Just don't get married without excellent legal advice and you should do fine... As I do.

Status: offline 		Not that I claim no level headed female, feminist, liberal, democrat exist. But to cancel out "female" alone, people with such political aspects, many to most seem totally blind to other sides of the story due to politically correct rules.

No denial about women having problems. I have no problem with that being raised to awareness. What I do have a problem with is that one gender is raised and not the other in equal consideration.

If you want to call it "that" in the western world. The REAL war on women happens in the islamic world, but liberals want to censor that consideration for some strange reason. Maybe it's because it shows the problems that western women face are so so so far trivial compared to women around the world. Therefore, we better not invalidate feminism in the western world.

Thats simply not possible with the huge majority of women ending up in shelters as a result of domestic violence and many having children with them. No one is saying that doesnt happen to men. But, damn, get off the pity party. You want to rant and rave about the injustice in the world towards men without looking at the cold facts. A man leaves because of abuse, he typically does not take the children and crashes on a buddies couch. A woman leaves and the kids go with her. How long will a friend put her, and her kids, up? Some for a long time. Some have no where else to go.
