Policy, experience, background information, etc. were all meaningless to the respondent. His followers are into a cult-of-personality.

I don't know how you can support Trump and support the above. Clinton did the above... Where has Trump reached out to Democrats?

Can you tell me of a time, a person of stature within the Democrat party who has reached out to Trump? Not the one or two Congresscritters who are up for election in states he won ...

In other words, when did "the resistance" start, and who isn't a part of it, on the Democrat side?

Ya that's right. None of them have had a thought in decades. We should take away their right to vote shouldn't we?

The Democrats wanted to work with Republicans to make the necessary changes to Obamacare... Trump through McConnell completely shut them out... how is that working for the good of the American people?

Funny, the antifarters are always insulting him but you ask them about the Gin-soaked Hillary or Obozohead and it's ~crickets.~

So, this is David Powers admiring Obama, in his own stumbling way, while all the rest of you were hating on him.

Zing.

Firm, ltns

OK, what is it with Mr Trump?

1. I doubt that he has even read the constitution and he gives a fuck about it even less.

That qualifies him to be a Conservative exactly 0%

2. He has discovered that ignorant people are easy to rile up and mobilize.

That is why he is in his position.

No, he is in this position because Hillary was even worse.
I am by no means accusing you of supporting Hillary.

I won't say that Hillary was worse. The real problem is that Hillary offered just more of the same. Stability, sure, but nothing exciting at all.

There was no passion in her campaign, and no passion in her as a candidate. Just politics as usual. It's the same reason Gore & Kerry both lost to Dubbya. The same reason HW lost to Bubba. Trump has actually moved people, to a much smaller degree than Obama did, but movement nonetheless.

And of all the clowns that were in the Republican car last election, I still fear Trump the absolute least. And if he gets a second term, Dems only have themselves to blame again.

If based on commentary in this forum and r/l experience, I would shoot Canadians on sight and open up the flood gates to the Southern border, if I wanted to make this a better country.

Some people have an instinctive notion of society that others lack.

If you're going to ask for the cite, forget it - it's lost in the fuzz of my memory .... But I read once that the Hillary camp had played with the idea of Hillary going all brassy and table-thumping but that the feedback they'd got back had made it clear that it just wasn't going to work. One of the problems was that that she would be too easily cast as a mad screaming harpie. If America wasn't ready for a female Pres who was bland and dreary, it was still less ready for a passionate female Pres.
