why does kirstie alley dress that way? has anyone else noticed those layers of fabric she wears and these strange "gowns" that are like designed to make her look thinner or something but don't. That jenny craig commercial is ridiculous. One minute she's harping about how happy she is being fat the next minute she's on jenny craig lol.

I hate the fashionistas that dress bigger women in ridiculous ugly layers because we're supposed to be hiding our bodies in shame. I think nowadays there are plenty of beautiful clothes for all sizes so that women don't have to dress like they're hiding; I still think we can't/shouldn't wear everything (cut off shirts look bad, and too much spandex), but there are plenty of awesome clothes and shoes. M

I think the goal there is to look like your clothes are making you look fat. That way, people will think you're not as fat as you look, or something like that.

Jenny, Those weight loss stuff can be dangerous. Hydroxy cut was recalled because ephedra in it. Those slim fast comercials were always dumb and in the bottom of the page it says resulrts not typical.

No one said it was a good idea ... just that the thought seems to be there ... who knows where, when or why it started, but it seems to be a bit like the people who try to fit their rolls into clothes that are at least 3 sizes too small and then putting a loose shirt over it (and I'm not talking about wearing a shirt over a corset, I'm talking about the people who should be wearing 24-26 size jeans wearing 20s or smaller and tight fitting shirts). They are obviously uncomfortable in the clothes, plus they aren't hiding anything, the fat just squishes out between the waistband of the pants and the bottom of the shirt, which rolls up under their boobs. I have a cousin who used to do that ... she finally started wearing clothes that fit her about 2 years ago, and you know what? Her self confidence went up and she managed to lose some of the weight that she had been fighting with for 20+ years once she quit wearing things that would NEVER look good on her.

Yeah, and then after they borrow your clothes that are too small for them, they are all stretched out and too big for you - and they get pissy the next time that they want to wear your clothes and you won't let them LOL

im not sure if A/anyone has said this yet but if allyC is fat count me in! She is one of the most gorgeous real life women ive seen here!!! seriously... the things that i dislike about being fat are when things hang, stretch, overlap and bulge... and the difficulty in covering that up during nude play! fortunately i have a very accepting group of friends that honestly don't care and boost my self confidence with their lack of judgement. it's easy to say 'i don't care what they think' but hard to tow the line... hopefully my loving, sexy, submissive aura shines through and supersedes! here's a question for you: how do you not only tell someone in a personal ad what your height/weight/size is but how you honestly feel about it? do you just put the facts and figures (pun intended) down on paper and let them bring it up if they feel like it or do you expound on your feelings? i personally have always put a sentence or two saying something like "im a big girl and i prefer big men to make me feel vulnerable and demure" to convey that it's not just a lack of self confidence but a sexual preference as well. and do you limit yourself to partners of the same size and shape? id like to say i don't but it usually works out that way. positive energies A/all ;) xoxo

Two issues covered here I think: 1)Yes sometimes I do put the facts and figures down on paper, though I ususally feel my exact weight is no one's business, but I do like to let people see exactly what I look like so they can decide weather or not they can start drooling over me immediately. 2)You're attracted to bigger guys, that is your choice, so that if someone contacts you or talks to you, and you find you're not attracted, than it's your prerogative to verbalize that, though I would just simply say "I don't feel that certain je ne sais quoi" instead of you skinny lil wimp get away from me, lol.. I have usually dated/married skinnier or muscular men, feel I'm attracted to most body types (though not extremes of any type)... I don't tend to be attracted to guys who are larger than me, but most of the time when chemistry isn't working, it's related to character or lack of chivalry to give me warm fuzzies. Sometimes, I have no idea why the chemistry is not working.. Well enough babbling from me. M

Thinking about this topic, I wonder if you women would comment on what you are attracted to Bigger or thinner men??? Does it matter to you when a guy emails you and has one set of stats in his profile, but than sends you photos or stats in email, and weighs 30 or more pounds than he stated on profile? It bugs me, but noticing and mentioning it makes me feel a lil guilty/shallow... Wondering about others, how you deal with it. M

As everyone who has seen pictures of my partner you know that I like them a little on the bigger side. He never lied to me about his size, but that is because I was looking for someone larger and he knew that before he told me his size. He outweighs me by a good 100 pounds, but I don't mind in the least, I like it very much [:D] I have other pictures of him, but I don't know if everyone would want to see him with his shirt off [;)]

When it comes to stats like height and weight I always just put them in bare bones, show my best picture and leave it at that. They can interpret that as they wish, if they interpret it negatively, well that's the best way to know you aren't compatible right away. Personally, I prefer in shape men. I am involved with men who are not in the best shape they could be and are somewhat overweight, but in the same way that I am. I would NOT want to be with someone who huffed going up stairs.

I have been reading this post and have been appalled at some of the posts towards the beginning, there seem to be so many people who truly have a thing against "Fat" people. When I was mentioning this to my husband my eight year old son overheard what I said and his reply was this "I believe that fat people shouldn't be treated any differently than skinny people." To me that says it all, he is not negative or biased he speaks the truth and that is how I wish the whole world viewed things...through the eyes of a child. I myself have suffered from severe thryroid disease since I was sixteen years old, my doctors and I have been unable to control my weight since then so I do not know what else to call myself but a SSBBW. My body may be big, but men tell me how lovely my face is all the time, so it worked for me. Why it should bother others is beyond me, my thoughts are if they don't like what they see then don't look and if they don't like what they are reading then stop reading it. I do appreciate Ally for starting this post because she brought up a valid question, some people may be able to handle being called fat where as others may not. I myself do not care any longer because I know I am doing all in my power to control my weight. However reading a post that inadvertantly lumped me in with beached whales is anouther story. That was rude, nasty and completely uncalled for. There was no reason for any type of name assigning to overweight people in a negative way. It is shameful that adults act this way.
