ORIGINAL: merrysbrat I think people are missing the point here, I doubt he's trying to say every woman needs to look like a supermodel, not even close. But when you see a woman who's 100 or more pounds overweight (and I mean really overweight, not what Weight Watchers charts will tell you) that IS unhealthy. There's a point people can reach where it's obvious they're not exercising enough, it's all fat and no muscle, and that's when it gets unhealthy. By no means should every woman weight 120 pounds or less, but when you're pushing four hundred pounds at five foot two inches, that's not something to flaunt, it's dangerously, and to most people ugly. Most of the women who post rants on here about how they're a BBW and they'res nothing wrong with that, there can be medical problems that cause it, blah blah blah, don't even come close to being that fat. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't ever hate someone because of how big they are or refuse to talk to them, I'm not that shallow, but it's not something we should define as 'sexy'. I agree with much of what you posted here. To me someone 100+ lbs overweight is not sexy it is unhealthy & right or wrongly I question myself as to why they are that way. I was fat because I didn't eat properly nor exercise properly and most of that came from laziness/apathy. In one year I lost exactly 100 pounds. I was NOT sexy before that, I was fat. Not a BBW but a fat woman with an unhealthy body. Unfortunately I went to the extreme and became too skinny so I have put back on 20 lbs lol. ( I have to admit I honestly miss being a size 4 for the first first time in my life! Now I am a 10 battling to be an 8 lol) I know there are a lot of men who like heavier women..however I know even more men that want a healthy partner. Personally I have a tough time believing someone over 300 pounds is healthy, the amount of weight being carried is not good nor easy on the body. Physically it is dangerous, socially it is discriminated against. Being fat is not fun. If you can't easily clip your own toenails or put socks on without sitting down I see a problem. Losing weight is a bitch and a half... it can be a lot easier to call yourself BBW than make such a drastic lifestyle change. Almost like it is a rationalization of their weight 'I'm a BBW' gives the chance to be 'beautiful' no matter what. I do not mean to sound harsh, I really don't. But going from 225 to 125 changed me from a fat woman to an average woman. Never did I call myself a BBW simply because I was fat not beautiful. 'You have such a pretty face'. 'She has a fantastic personality!' None of this is directed to anyone, it is just my view having been there & back.
