I keep a list of ALL my pics and where I post them, I post the same ones on at least 2 or places, plus I have the originals on my computer and on disk. I have 'disclaimers' on almost all of my pages stating that the pics I have posted are of me and of no one else and ANY copying of them, etc is infringement; without my written permission. I have given permission more than a few times, but, those people were sent pics from my private email account and I kept copies of all those pics and of who they were sent too. It might be a bit of work, but its cya.

Someone on myspace copied 3 or 4 of my pics, when I found out, I confronted the person and gave them 24hrs to remove them, if not, I would press charges. My proof, I have the originals on disk, they are dated, among other things. It also helps that I have friends who tell me when they see my pics on other places.

Flattery or not, its creepy.

i ran into a profile where the guy was very hot- well- as it turned out- his ex posted him as gay. he had been reciving odd calls. i TOLD him where to look for the site. he said he knows who did it.  he was appreciative someone told him what happened.

this type of thing isnt limited to the net. in paper ads before the net took off- i had a "reply" with a picture- feel free to show up at his job.  this guy was not as receptive to an anwere and told me- if he came to me- i would not be happy.  he sorta shot himself in the foot- as if an ex did this per one time- there could have been a dozen simmilliar stunts.

this made me angry as it put me at risk for an azzkicking.  it may have seemed like revencge to the ex- but to involve a 3rd party.... straight men do not want gay males to make sexual passes at them- plain and simple.

I may be new to this site, but I am not at all new to websites with photo posting.
I make my living as a model and with most my photos when I find them stole I am in an uproar. The fact that someone feels they need to take someone elses photo, use it as thiers just screams how insecure the person is. Reporting them for the stolen identity only does so much as they will just find someone else to violate with photo theft.
I used to put words over mine stating copyright and my name but I never give out my true name and over the last 10 years my online identy have changed a few times with the name.

Really there is nothing you can do but keep your originals, confront each reported attack on your identity and hope you dont get anouther one.

Maybe instead of a watermark you dirty subs could just put a large glob of cum on your pics then let them dry and scan them into CM.

I have had my photo stolen too damn often...And it really pisses me off to think that some piece of fuck is out there trying to lure in some fine ass subsnatch with the ultimate, irresistable sub catching high tech equipment that is my photo.

Greetings one and all,

At the risk of the whirlwind that just might ensue from this, I am de-cloaking just long enough to set a few things straight.

Purely from a personal viewpoint and a technical perspective. Keep in mind that YMMV.

Okay, there is nothing - and I mean NOTHING - that you can do to protect anything posted on the net. If someone wants it badly enough, there is a way to lift it. Saying that, like a hefty chain wrapped around your steering wheel, if it is too much trouble to make the effort, they will move off and look for an easier target.

Speaking about images for a moment. From a professional perspective.
The best way to protect your images is to mark them with your personal identification. There are a number of ways to do this and most have been mentioned already. To summarise;

You can purchase a dedicated program that invisibly marks the photo and if it is used somethere else, you can prove you have the ownership of the original.

You can purchase a dedicated program that visibly marks the photo and if it is used somethere else, you can prove you have the ownership of the original.

In both of these cases, there are many reasonable programs that do such things. And like the Chimpanzee Workforce, you get as much as you pay for.

Then there is the hefty chain option. Not too expensive, but darn effective.

Most reasonable image-manipulation programs can place a note, name or copyright notice anywhere on any image. Examples of this are Microsoft Paint (automatically installed if you use Windows), PaintShop, or at the top end of the scale, PhotoShop.

If you would like some assistance (and this is where the whirlwind bit comes in), feel free to msg Me and I can either tell you how to do it, or I will do it for you. It will take Me about the same amount of time to DO it as to tell you how to do it for yourself. However, it is better if YOU know how to do it for yourself.

No, there is no charge.
No, I have no interest in lifting your photos and posting them as My own
Yes, this is a - God help Me - genuine offer. I blame the last cup of strong coffee for this rush of altruism to the typing fingers.

If you have questions about photography, how to fix a photo, or anything photo-related ... send those questions towards Me.

Not sure if this is classified as "stolen" or not...but I did have one member here take my pic and change it by putting it in a field and adding flowers.  He sent me what he did, and then wanted me to send him more pics.  I thanked him, but said I was not interested in any more "artwork"  Now this is a person that I have never ever spoken to in my life.   This was his first contact with me.

It may have been totally innocent, but it was unnerving.  Until that point I really hadn't thought of anyone stealing someones pic.  As another poster said I thought phote stealing was limited to supermodels not regular folk...live and learn....lol

but, nothing you can do about it but move on.
