Well I look at i this way...after Paris finishes her sentence she can afford treament for her Distraught and Trauma. Which by the way many can not afford but need treatment.

There are people ( Meeting Planners/ Publicists/ etc... ) who have stopped doing any business ( say, 300 rooms for a week a dozen times a year... ) with the Hilton companies simply because of her jackassery.

Thats what Ive always said to people... If you hate Paris so much, why do you still stay at Hilton hotels? Your money is simply going right into that family's pockets. And then Paris buys her new Prada shoes.

Not sure if this story is correct but it was reported in a paper here in the UK that she continued to drive even after her 45 day sentence was handed down. If that is the case then she really does feel that she is above the law and deserves all she gets.

Even if that is not correct I think she still deserves what she got. Giving her a fine would mean nothing to her at all. She needs a punishment that she personally will feel.

Without having read any replies... yeah I do feel sorry for her. She is totally unprepared for real life not to mention life in jail. Her entire life has been filled with excuses and rationalizations for her behaviour, now it has caught up with her.
So she is filthy rich and obnoxious... she is also clueless. Never having to account for her lifestyle, she is having to really pay. Yes she should pay but I do feel bad for her. She has no real life experience & that isn't her fault. It is too bad she was not brought up with her behaviour being confronted instead of not being held accountable until she reached adulthood.
I do NOT condone repeated drunk driving. I think all who do that, once their license is returned, I think they should have to use a special license plate to show everyone they drink/drive.
I'd prefer no flames over my viewpoint.. its probably a very rare one.

Yup. I care about a lot of people and a lot of things in this world.
Should I hate her because she grew up rich?
I agree she was stupid & arrogant (that word looks weird, sp?) and she does have to pay for her hubris.
That doesn't negate the fact that I do feel for her. She has never had to use self control & now she has trapped herself.

She should do the time. But she won't. Because of overcrowding she is likely to do just a small portion of her sentence. The actress from Lost did around 4 hours of time. And if Paris does make it to jail, it will be time spent in isolated from other inmates (for her own protection). Hard to feel bad for someone in those coddled circumstances.

oh dear, i feel so sorry that another membr of the rich and famous society has to serve jail time and now she's feleling so distraught over it. oh see the tears swelling in my eyes as i weep for her as she joins the regular population in DOC (Department of Corrections) clothing ...not done in the latest Versace style either.

like an old saying goes - if you cannot do the time, then don't do the crime. she gets no sympathy from me.

I would not be surprised if Paris is driving still, I would laugh my rear off if I read she got stopped before her June 5th reporting date. This would mean a possible felony charge and time at the Chino Womens Prison.

I read in the paper today that this Distraught and Trauma thing is not so much as trying to get out of jail but to keep her from a civil lawsuit that is against her. Under Civil Law, if one party fails to show the other wins by default. Further, evidence rules and testimony rules are more relaxed and she would have to take the stand to answer the compliant. This all seems to be some ploy to get out of a lawsuit.

I am going to take back what I said..it seems the little spoiled brat is getting her way. Jail Officials have announced Paris has already got her 45 days cut in half for good behavior, mind you she has yet to serve one day. It seems she will placed in a special unit of 12 two person unit reserved for those high officals, police officer, etc. Yes Justice is a two level system.
