i don't mind marks but i seldom show them off.  I  don't seek them in play, bu they do happen.

I don't understand the showing off marks mindset. It is like a competition as to who played harder, or who is a better sub since they took more of a beating. And the one then who can't stop talking about it, “i can't sit”, “don't touch me there”, or walk around saying “ouch” and “oh” for days afterwards.. it is like they are portraying themselves as better or special cause they got a bruise or welt.

i see it a little differently.....Sir cared enough to leave me a physical reminder of the fact that he was here and used me so hard.  *that* is how i see the marks he leaves on me.

kitten, who doesnt care if marks show or not.

To add, I can flog, crop, cane without leaving a single mark, a skill that I have utilised over time. Also, some subs are okay with disclosing that marks may be inflicted as long as they are not visable within a few days or so.

I have found, it is often harder to find a Dominant who CAN leave marks...many are not able to do more than make a butt warm.

But, I'm curious, what skill is involved leaving no marks?   I would say the skill is in marking...and not permanently injuring.

Am I off base, here?

In sessions this week, I had subs that were open to "marking". I discussed with them the enjoyment I get from My style of Domination, is a far cry from markings of the flesh, not at all pain orientated, just My complete control to indulge in their submission. To be fair, they were into the humiliation factor, yet were happy to leave My presence with markings if I chose to do so.

90% that I accept for session usually refrain from markings of any description, and this is totally fine by Me, as My style of Domination is not all about pain and marking of the flesh, but My control and indulgence in their servitude.

It made Me ponder the idea, do many subs feel a Mistress marks/marking is important to you?

To add, I can flog, crop, cane without leaving a single mark, a skill that I have utilised over time. Also, some subs are okay with disclosing that marks may be inflicted as long as they are not visable within a few days or so.

Do not get Me wrong on this, I do savour and enjoy pain sluts, and intense senario's just as much. Inflicting My hallmark, in a arty expressive way, with a selection of different tools, releasing My sadistic energy, to those that can absorb it .

So do you as subs/players/slave's enjoy your Mistress marking you? If so why?

Do you admire the markings, and enjoy absorbing strokes and thrashings?

Regards,

Mistress Roug'e.

Yes, for me it has value, marking. My life is very complicated and full and I am not able to see my Sir as much as we both would like. For me, marks are something I linger over, touch, look at, feel, they are a huge reminder of him, and everything about how I feel about him. When my body aches, parts of my self soften. If he's really had his hands, (and impliments) on me then I can feel, every time I move, every step I take, every time I sit, his hands still upon me... for days... even when we are far apart. I think of him with every move, and there is something about that that really gets into your head. It is deeply intimate, that lingering feeling of *his hands are always on me, his touch lingers and is inescapable* I find that hot. I find the lines and bruises and fingermarks, sexy and intimate. I love it when he tears me to pieces.

Everyone is differant, your miles may vary. :)

I don't feel being marked is important, I just enjoy it. I enjoy having Master leave various marks on me lasting for days, weeks. He enjoys leaving them as much I enjoy having them. I think if I asked for no marks he would honor that. It isn't a necessity have marks. I just enjoy them.

it wasn't about being better in any way, shape, or form. it was about the sweet reminder or what we had done when we were last together. Maybe because I don't get to see him as often as i would like then it's more special to me. Like someone else said, it's about having that reminder of him with me at all times.

I personally like marks left behind, ie...brusies, welts, stripes, possible cuts, and now add to the mix bite marks that dont break the skin(this is a new one to me)....Master and i are both kinda new, and He is not as comfortable with this as i am yet...but i suspect that will change. If  Master doesnt get as comfortable with leaving the kind of marks that will last for days as i am,  i will learn to be happy with what He does decide is sufficient. I suspect He will grow into His sadism as i grow into my masochisticness.

Master does not leave marks on me for 2 reasons one i do not like pain and 2 he does not like to inflict pain on me.  To get marks i think that would invlove pain and since we don't do pain play he does not leave marks.  If for some reason he did (cause i an very fair skinned) i would wear them proudly but i also heal fast. So no marks over here.

for me it's more the fact that I know there are brusies or welts there rather than needing to look at them, infact the only time I ever look if at all is right after, then it's more just the mental knowledge of knowing there is something secret there to enjoy (maybe a little to much) haha

While i'm not into pain (my skin and body are rediculously sensitive), i love it when my Lady leaves bite marks on me and I love the feeling of her doing it. It's probably one of the more painful things that i enjoy.

"it wasn't about being better in any way, shape, or form. it was about the sweet reminder or what we had done when we were last together."

Thank you for saying that. For me it is not primarily about showing off how much I can take, although I do admit I have learned to enjoy how impressed some people are with that aspect of it.   Sir definitely likes to show me off to other lifestylers in terms of how much he can do with me.

But for me it is mostly that lovely lingering ache and secret knowledge that there are bruises in intimate places.  His hand on me, as someone else observed. As with several others who seem to feel this way, I don't live with Sir full time so the "reminders" are a wonderful thing for me.

That said, I do think there are bottoms who draw undue attention to themselves and their marks in an unattractive way with their "ows" and so forth.  I hope I avoid annoying others in that way.

Smiles
JY

On the contrary, there is more skill involved in "not marking". The reason being is gauging and controlling the impact, especially with floggers,  striking enough to inflict a sensation/impact, but without leaving a marks at all.

To mark is much easier, control is still paramount, yet having more of a free scope to mark with various implements, varying strokes and impact.

I love being marked.  I see it as the proof of a journey, a pleasurable momento.  Its kind of a souvenier (sp?) to me, I suppose.  I love going through my day and occassionally viewing or remembering my marks.

Some submissive's enjoy the hallmark embedded in their minds mentally, of play with their Master/Mistress. The marking aspect as you say, are of less importance to those with that particular senario of scene/play.

Thankyou.

So do you as subs/players/slave's enjoy your Mistress marking you? If so why?

He marks me with His scent. He marks me with the feeling of his hand still in my hair hours later.  He marks me with His cum slowly dripping hours later.

Markings NEED NOT be some physical manisfestation of SM.

My ass and thighs are senstive and when I look in the mirrior the next day, I am warmed with the fun of the sensation, but he is concerned.  Why?  Becasue he is still learning to mark my sensitive skin physically so I can take my swim exercises.

Now the brush marks to my ass for discipline?  When I beg forgiveness and he holds me and says "you will do it no more, I still adore you and you are mine"...the brush marks mean absoultely nothing...once for 2 days.  I am forgiven.

Years ago I played with a sadist who left his mark with me...he calls his subs "pet" and I asked how he marked his pets.  He asked if he might demonstrate....sure why not.  He bit my neck...not with his teeth, but some tendon got a kink the way he did it.  It was arousing, but I never wanted it again.

Do you admire the markings, and enjoy absorbing strokes and thrashings?

Regards,

Mistress Roug'e.

In contrast, I had  wonderful weekend attended 2 fetish/bdsm clubs. I met a new sub, and played with him using My single-tail whips on slave's back, floggers & crops on his buttocks, and My nails scratching severely down his entire back to buttocks. He informed Me, that he would like My hallmark upon him, so I obliged
