Randy Weaver was a two bit criminal, who was asked to become an informant for the justice dept, and declined. Ruby Ridge happened under Janet Reno, on Clinton's watch, and the survelliance and raid were conducted by U.S. Marshalls, FBI & ATF agents.

None of which compare to a local cop, which the OP is based upon.

You can't seriously believe that wire tapping started under W, if so you may want to google "Echelon" sometime.

As for the erosion of "rights", I'd love to see some examples, pleases cite me a source.
