littleone35 you are so loyal and to-the-point. Good for you.

I agree with the others, he had nothing to loose by asking. Relationships change all the time: happy and strong one day, miserable and falling apart the next. He liked you enough to see where your relationship stood and he found out in a pretty blunt way. Look on the bright side, you have (or at least had) an admirer.
