Maybe the wayward nun is trying to seduce the desparately struggling to resist priest.
Maybe the feeling of shame he can conjure, is intensity enough. Shame, humiliation, embarrassment, fear, exposure. All wonderful feelings, none of which are sexual, all of which can be found in the scene you suggest.

I thought maybe the parishoner or nun realizes that they deserve the pain of discipline, so the application of pain causes sufficient emotional relief to the penitent, even without sexual contact.

I was raised a Jehovah's Witness. I remember being made to go out in door to door service, and hearing about this one young man who was invited in by a sexy, naked woman... the other "brothers" ministering next door realized something was "wrong" and actually dragged him to the car with his pants around his ankles.

I highly suspect it depends on what turns the cranks of the poeple involved in each specific session.

If that is what turns the penitent's crank. There is a lot of varity and what holds true for one person may not, perhaps even probably not, hold true for another.

Frankly, it wouldn't be enough for me but then again, I'm really not into the whole religious RP thing.

depends on the sub of course......for me NO!
 
But I love the fantsay of being taken hard by a priest over the alter table .......... spanking my ass away, uttering each of the 10 commandments with each spank and thrust...
 
That would be good "religious discipline" to make me remember the 10 commandments and where they are found in the Bible.

Status: offline 		Being a recovering Catholic (one day at a time), I've had a lot of very, very, very bad thoughts about the Church.

Nuns seducing the innocent and then blackmailing them with punishment and threats of expulsion, Priestesses (that right there gets me a few more years in Hell) absolving wicked sexual sins with creative uses of holy water and religious symbols...

Excuse me while I go dunk my head in a bucket of ice water.

...In answer to the original question, I'm personally ok with or without direct sex in those kind of scenes.

i don't know, but one thing i do know for sure, is that many people follow the religious discipline/punishment dynamics in their everyday relationships but wouldn't consider it as such...

you know, like the need for forgiveness by paying a pentance, etc. to help them deal with or over-come the 'guilt'...

now if that doesn't sound like religious play/discipline/punishment to me, i don't know what does!

My understanding is that Penitence is an equal and opposite response. So if you confess to over-eating, then you would be directed to fast. If you steal then you would return the item.
Sort of a Christian version of Karma.

For less tangible sins, then the punishments switch to either mental cures, like chanting prayers to drown out sinful thoughts. Or physical punishments like flagellation, cilice wearing or crucifixions using rope not nails, to encourage the mind to grow less attached to the body.

Extreme physical chastisement can trigger rapturous holy ecstasy’s which bares a resemblance to what us grubby BDSM’rs refer to as SubSpace.
Not that any Dom here would take the similarity to the logical conclusion and think they were god

Status: offline 		I'm not really sure.  Honestly for me, religious play just isn't for me.  I would feel really guilty if I did anything involving religion.  It's not that I'm a hard core conservative I just dont want to mix religion with the lifestyle that I live....it's just not for me

I just have one question....would my catholic school girl fantasy be considered religious....I really hope not...(not sex just being spanked)
