the age of consent should be lowered to at least 16 since mental maturity seems to be ocurring in around that age.

Edited to add, for whoever it was who bragged about banging his high-school teacher: Congratulations, and if you haven't suffered because of it, good for you.  But that hardly means that it's OK for teachers to be having sex with their students.  Really, suppose someone were to say, "Oh well, I was raped, but I kinda enjoyed it and haven't suffered from it" (and there ARE rape victims who say this)--do you really think that would be enough reason to decide that rape is acceptable?  What this teacher did was against the law, and the law is there for a reason.  The fact is none of you would condone this if the teacher was male.  Why it's all right if the teacher is female is beyond me.

He still is not very social.
Nothing good can come from teachers having sexual relations with their students.  Absolutely nothing.

They all claimed to have had sex with various teachers and bragged on it even years later when they were in their 30's. I know there's a teacher/student boundary but, sometimes it's the teachers being victimized.
