quote:
ORIGINAL: Misstoyou And as far as the topic, if the individual involved is the teacher, then he/she KNOWS that regardless of how they look on the outside, the bundle of adolescent hormones is still a child. I teach adult women in adrenalin / heightened hormone levels states. While it is not technically therapy, the line between what I do as a mock assailant and what a therapist does introducing the patient to her / his innermost emotional demons is fairly blurred. I have always had a deeply rooted ethical sense that any sort of educator, therapist, doctor to patient, student realtionship is simply wrong. The power relationship between the two sides is such, no matter how effectively those involved justify / explain it away, that I personally do not think it is a truly consensual relationship. Or perhaps this is just my own personal rationalization about why the idea of fucking students I have taught creeps me out more than words can really express. Ewww, ick. Sinergy
