No. I've got no interest in having to deal with people tracking shit into my house; I get that quite enough while I'm at work. Besides, the whole grungy, gross black-stained, dirty, gritty soles thing has never done anything but disgust me; that's why I only pad around the house in bare feet and wear shoes when going outside.

I go barefoot all year round, don't matter to me if it's summer time, autum winter or fall. Now when I go out around town I wear shoes, I would not walk about unknown surfaces barefoot, but at home in my yard, in my driveway, used to be walking down the street as a kid, but then a school aged friends mom said do not come over unless I wear shoes, she had an issue w/ith me being barefoot on the hot roads.

I have to go with Aquatic on this one..Shoes are for public use and access..but at home shoes come off before entering, so as to not track the crud we pick up outside into the house..The asian culture definitely got this right......black sole feet~shudders!~...ewww..Tempting

I personally, feel that I have more important finacial needs to see to than spending dollars on a pedicure.  And I never paint my toes any more, used to as a kid, when I wanted to imitate my mom who did, but, having pretty feet, or  having feet any one else but my dom would think is pretty, not a priority lol.

  This is the way I was raised. If we ruined Mom's hardwood floor, we would have been hung. However, barefoot was not acceptable. It was sockfooted or slippers. And I continue on in that manner today. I keep a pair of slipper socks or slippers by the door.

I was also raised that walking around barefoot spreads the foot, and quite frankly after the money I've plunked down for some of my shoes.....I want to be able to fit into them.

A pedicure is free when you do it yourself.  It is part of caring for yourself, like bathing and washing your hair.

If you are going to show off your feet please be sure they are worth looking at.

You have to buy the stuff and spend the time. My dominant is better served by me cooking, studying, or writing papers then spending a lot of time on pedicures.

You are so correct about the foot spread,but when home, although I know slippers or socks would be optimal.my feet just crave to be free of restriction for a wee bit..And unlike you, I do not spend a lot on shoes, as I like to replace them on a bi-yearly basis, so hence the spread is accomodated..:0)..Tempting.

For me (not speaking for the massses) i believe taking care of ones feet is just as important as anyother body part - in a way - moreso as they carry my body around and i am into alot of heavy impact hobbies. i pamper my feet and always make sure they are in as good a shape as my hands. It is part of the "care and keeping" of me[:)]

Me too. If I have socks or slippers on even loose ones, eventually they just start bugging me and I have to take them off, or I get all antsy and uptight.

I am far from a slave girl, but I am barefoot about as often as I can get away with it. Indors or outdors, summer or winter (though far shorter outdoor trips in the winter). I have a mat by the door to keep from tracking thigns in, but I dont see a reason to give the slaves the sole pleasure of being barefoot. Besides, my new little one loves feet, so he seems to be having a god time being around me barefoot all the time.

Play time not a chance, unless its a kind of play that requires barefeet, bastinado for example.  Indoors most likely not,  strong preference for either heels on occasion or socks/tennis shoes the rest of the time.  Outdoors,  I don't even like sandals so barefeet simply not an option.

BTW, if going barefoot insde the house is done to avoid tracking crap inside, simply go get a pair of shoes that are to be worn indoors only.   Keds, ballet flats, some kinds of sandals work well for this.

I have read a few comments most i would agree with, how ever i do when not cold have no shoes in the house, but i am not into the hippy thing having black soles on my feet and haveing them spread because i never wear shoes then when i have to, find the shoes i do have are tight from not wearing shoes for so long and end up in pain, no thanks.

Then again i can not walk far without shoes when i walk in town or walk somewhere, because of medical reasons.

I dont think that not been barefoot for a Master is disrespectful, when you think of all the disadvantages of being bare foot.

If you are indoors and its warm and he wants you to for a certain time, fare enough but to ask a sub/slave to not wear any form of shoes at all, all the time, is someone that does not care for their sub/slave as far as i am concerned, even if that sub/slave did not work she still has chores outside of the house itself their for open to all sorts of injuries, needles from druggies, the list can go on.

If the said sub/slave did work with work place health and safety rules and regulations, to not wear shoes you would loose your job, because everyone is covering their ass and they dont want to be sued.

To suggest the idea of having subs without shoes all together till winter, is a imposibility, unless you are confined to a house 24/7 without the optunitiy to grow and learn by been hidden.
