very interesting thread Aileen. hmm...tho i am always "me", there is a significant difference between the way i express myself online and the way i express myself in person. for one thing i am painfully shy, not to mention completely anti-social with a heap of anxieties, so bad that it's difficult for me to be in settings with a crowd of people like a shopping mall. Daddy does almost all of my clothes shopping by himself, because i tend to get panic attacks when i'm in a department store for more than a few minutes. with other lifestylers, i'm still pretty reserved. i don't speak unless spoken to, and even then, sometimes things have to pried out of me bit by bit because it's difficult for me to open up face to face, at least not until i've known someone for a while and have become really comfortable with them.

in person people have told me that i tend to come off cold, silent, humorless. so in many ways i think my online personality gives people a better insight into the real me.

I've been thinking about this thread off and on over the past couple of days.
Now I have realised I am ALOT more vocal online and I am a lot more comfortable stating my views on stuff, even ordinary mundane stuff.
It is that whole 'no one can see me' freedom that lets me be much more socially brave online. No wonder I wish I could always live in cyberspace! I mean sheesh, if I hadn't made a point of mentioning it no one here would have a clue that I am a mostly bedridden & lonely person. Cuz.. no one can visually see me.
It is so much easier to be me. Sure we are all just text on a screen here but I've made more personal connections online than I think I ever could offline.

Thanks for the thread.

I am a single Mum of 3 kids aged 15, 11 and 7. I work and have to be tough in my job, I am a special needs teacher.. I am very submissive in nature to the right person BUT I am a very outspoken and confident person.. I am honest to the point of hurting and I can honestly say with my hand on my heart I have never told a lie..

I am like this online and offline and for those that know me, I should hope that comes across.
