What, if any, are the odd things that reinforce your feelings of slavery/submission?

For me, it's a chihuahua in heat.
Why? Because I never thought to ask Master (a) if He even had a dog, or (b) if He did, what breed it was.
I am NOT a dogperson at all, and of all the breeds of dog that I am NOT a dogperson to, chihuahuas top my list!
The thing that truly reinfoces my "slavery" mindset is that Master's chihuahua not only sleeps with us, she sleeps between the sheets, and does so even when she is on heat.
So, every day when I make our bed ( and more particularly when Bug is in heat), the sight of dog hair, dog dirt and, (God Forbid!!) "bitch blood", reinforces my slavery. Without a doubt, were I NOT Master's slave, I simply could not, and would not EVER be able to deal with/cope with/accept this chihuahua in the bed!

So, do YOU have something odd that reinforces YOUR feeling/mindset of slavery/submission?

I'm kinda boring, just hearing MJ's voice or seeing Him online and us talking does that. When I drive by Home Depot I think of Him, and looking at rope and that sorta stuff, just reminds me of my submission and devotion to Him. Him reminding me to 'pump' {with a breast pump} when I am at home alone, is probably the BIGGEST thing as of late. When I use it, my mind automatically goes to Him.

For me when i see thos big oval clips that attach to someomes belt to hold keys that makes me think on my submission.

My brand, my piercings that I got for him are things that probably reinforce it for me. There are other things, but the funny thing is that as of late the simplest thing has been nice, connecting, and reinforcing for both of us, which is his thumb in my butt while we are sitting around watching tv.

Trying to imagine that position...and the irony of "thumb up your butt" as an insult

Lately it's mostly been just waiting for him- reminding myself to let him do his thing and give him his space and when he's ready, he'll be there.

So many things reinforce it and none that I would consider especially odd. But, I can think of one thing that, if I were not His property, I would not be doing on my own - journaling. I have never been one to write in a diary or chronicle the in's and out's of everyday activities, my innermost thoughts, etc. This isn't something He requires everyday but He does periodically. I don't really look forward to it and I would not do it if it were not for Him. So, everytime I sit down to pour my heart and thoughts out onto paper, it is reinforced that I am doing it simply because it is His desire and He has instructed me to. So that makes it worth doing

Hot chocolate.

Valyraen likes two packets for each cup of hot chocolate. I think it's a waste and don't notice any difference in taste. But it's the way he wants his hot chocolate served, so it's the way I make it!

I tend to watch tv like a lazy housecat, sprawled on a bed on my belly, so thats how it works out position-wise.

I knew someone was gonna make cracks about the thumb up my butt (its okay I have a good sense of humour), but my owner swears he can feel my heartbeat and any sort of slight movements I make when his thumb is there. To me its more of an exercise of staying put and the unlubricated thumb is a little uncomfortable (especially as time goes on).... and so its an exercise in patience for me.

Getting up and making his breakfast everyday. I think if I were not his slave, I might say "get up and make your own damn breakfast", at least once in a while.

LOL it depends on the brand for me, but I like hot chocolate and lemonade much stronger than most packets or recipes call for.

Ok...this is going to seem odd. I know it does to me all the time.

We have a ritual of sorts. It involves me doing his feet - a pedicure. Sometimes just washing and massaging his feet, sometimes the whole nine yards.

Every time I do this - every SINGLE time I do this, one of the thoughts that runs through my head is "I SO understand the story about Mary Magdelean now!"

To think! This woman was travelling with a band of men during a time when all they wore were sandals, walking dusty dirty trails from city to city. To think! the man whose feet she washed couldn't be passed off as a noble person or anything like that. He was nothing more than a carpenter's son. To think! She knelt at his feet, washed them with the utmost care and then dried them with her hair. And while I am not a particularly religious person, I finally understand the depth of her devotion and service to the one she chose to follow - even when it became amazingly unpopular to do so.

I figure I'm in pretty good company.

I am constantly reminded of my submissiveness.

I'm grateful.

Males tend to be in the minority of almost every internet posting site. Specially as this is a heterosexual site, many male subs can feel left out or misunderstood and not comfortable.

walking around with ankle chains (with tiny locks and cuffs) - it has been a very VERY humbling experience walking around in public with my ankles cuffed and locked especially in a black neighborhood. oh i can imagine what people are whispering when they see me walking into a grocery store after gazing up and down at me ...i simply pay them no mind as i enjoy the quiet jiggling sound my chains make while moving my feet.

When he walks into the bathroom while I am on the toilet just to watch....

When he calls me up and says "Guess what I am doing now!!" and my response is "You are going to the bathroom, aren't you???"; the sound of disgust plainly in my voice and he just laughs and laughs.

It is one thing that he has found that will humiliate me. The problem is I get desensitized to it and he has to keep raising the bar. He is now contemplating having me give him a blow job while he is taking a shit... I have just asked him to have a bucket for me to puke in, if I need it.

I am horrified of what he will come up with next... LOL

Beautiful story, juliet. I love washing, massaging, and just basically pampering and pleasuring Master's feet - especially after a long hard day's work where they've taken a beating standing on concrete all day.
