First Matthews blind siding Coulter was unprofessional.. Nothing new there.

Second Edwards wife, calling in to ask for Coulter to stop doing what Coulter does. It's like asking a cobra not to bite you. What's the point, other than to try to get some sympathy.  The woman would have to be brain dead to think Coulter would go "Oh, I'll stop, because you asked". LOL. Stupid...

It's Hardball.  That's how it works--Chris asks the hard questions and doesn't let them dither.  I see nothing wrong with confronting a pundit with his or her own words and forcing them to deal with it.

And the move was brilliant imo.  Nobody likes Coulter aside from the 10% lunatic fringe of the Republican Party, and they wouldn't vote for Edwards if he was Christ himself.  Nothing to lose and much to gain in terms of energizing the base.

I guess it is okay to suggest it is a good thing if Vice President Cheney had been blown up by a terrorist bomb on his recent visit to Afghanistan as Bill Marr recently suggested. I didn't hear any oppositon to that comment. And you obviously didn't get the obvious linking of her statement to his. She obviously didn't speak slowly enough.

The left does there share of this shit as well....But I believe he lost his job.  Doh!!!! So no opposition?....Perhaps you should concentrate more on master less on forum.

I have a suggestion for you. If you want to insult someone, make sure you spell all your words correctly. It kind of defeats the purpose, don't you think?
As for Bill Maher losing his job, I am pretty sure that he has an HBO show. That is where he made the specific comment that I was referring to.
The Left does more than their share of name calling (Bush is a moron ring a bell?), so I guess you actually made one good point. Good for you.

Just a detail I noticed:  On the previous page - logged in under your other nick - you misspelled Bill Maher's name (as Marr).  We all make spelling mistakes sometimes.  Give poor Domiguy some slack, huh?[;)]................luci

Can't we all just get along?

Ann Coulter is a malignant cunt, and the fact that people on the Left call Bush a moron doesn't make her any less of a malignant cunt.

themischievous1 -> RE: Ann Coulter continues to embarass herself. (6/27/2007 9:37:37 PM)

Unfortunately I caught her act last night on late night tv. One word overwhelmingly came to mind as I listened to her drivel:

Skanky.

angelic -> RE: Ann Coulter continues to embarass herself. (6/27/2007 9:42:14 PM)

~fast reply to no one in particular~ Wouldn't it be much easier to just ignore her?  As long as she gets to stay in the lime light, she will continue to do what she does.  Just think, if everytime she came on tv the channel was changed, or no one bought her books or people stopped reacting so strongly to her, she might just go away.  Take away her audience, she goes away.

C'mon Fargle, you want to "DO HER" don't you?

I’d do Ann Coulter – but only if I can put some duct tape over her mouth first.

Well, until there's a return to the "Fairness Doctrine", "News" outlets can broadcast any sort of crap they want, without regard to their obligations as SLAVES OF THE PEOPLE.

No. News outlets cannot broadcast any sort of crap they want. They are restricted by what the public wants to listen to. The so called Fairness Doctrine is anything but. Because of the demand for equal time (i.e. "you must broadcast our crap that has proven incapable of surviving in the free market") broadcasters, in order not to waste valuable (money making) time on crap people won’t tune into, shy away from anything that might prove political enough to evoke the Fairness Doctrine. The result is less, not more, political speech on the airwaves. It is not a coincidence that the number of talk radio shows exploded after the Fairness Doctrine was abolished in 1987 because broadcasters could now put on hosts that people actually wanted to listen to without worrying about being forced to give equal time to shit people didn’t care about.

People don't like Edwards much but got upset over Coulter's comment, yet no one got upset over Marr's comment concerning Cheney. Seems to show that no one likes Cheney. (Not even his wife or daughter cared enough to call Marr on it.)

Or maybe they just decided not to dignify his remarks with a response.

Commentary: Ann Coulter is very intelligent but totally lacking in scruples. She knows what buttons to push to rile people up and in the process make gobs of money. This makes her no different than many other so called pundits on both the left and the right. The ideology such people espouse is irrelevant (I said it before and I’ll say it again, the Left and the Right are mirror images of each other), their lack of decency is what should earn them social ostracism. Humor and satire have their place in politics but decency demands limits.

Thats one of the main reasons why I didn't even take the time to read it[;)].

I don't listen to her for more than a few minutes.
As I listened to Sean and Rush today, I was thinking the right is certainly getting screwed these days.
The people that are the funniest are the ones that voted for BUSH, twice.
They asked for HIM and they got HIM for 2 more years!
The BIGGEST joke is on them.

The left is getting screwed anally as well.

And do you truely think the next President, whether it be a Dem or a Republican, will change America's foreign policy? The next president WILL invade Iran and probably bring us to the brink of war with Hugo Chavez.

That's the sham being played on Americans...one party is just as corrupt as the other. And the more things change, the more they stay the same.

Until Americans stop supporting the two party system, nothing will change. Everyone here should be registered independants. Don't become a pawn and get sucked into the black hole of the two-party system.

Lordandmaster -> RE: Ann Coulter continues to embarass herself. (6/27/2007 10:07:30 PM)

So, cyberdude, does that mean you're voting Green?

MzMia -> RE: Ann Coulter continues to embarass herself. (6/27/2007 10:14:18 PM)

O I agree cyberdude, we are all being screwed.
BUT I did not vote for the Administration we have now.
Sorry, it is a great feeling!
I may be in the sinking ship, but damn I did not vote for it.
I would be feeling really s t u p i d, if I had voted for the current Administration.
And, right about now I think just about anyone would be better than what we have now!

In fact that was my motto the last election-

ANYONE BUT BUSH!

I vote for the person who I think is best for the job and the policies which I agree with. He might be a Democrat, he might be a Republican, he might be a Libertarian, or a Green.
There is an awful lot that I consider before I vote for someone. One of the things I do not consider is their political affiliation. I couldn't care less.

Unfortunately however we live in a country that thinks by changing the party that is leading the country, that we will see some massive shift in politics. Look over the past 50 years, how many times has control shifted from one party to the other? Countless times. It's like ping-pong. It just goes back and forth. Has there ever been any significant change? NOPE! I mean for crying out loud....we are still using the same strategy in Iraq that we tried to use in Vietnam! And surprise, surprise! It's not working!

Both parties are equally corrupt. And both parties are victims of special interests, the same lobbyists, and the same corporate donors. In fact, did you know Wal-Mart and Microsoft both give to each party nearly equally over the past decade. Why? Because they arn't stupid. They want to be in the favor of whoever is in power.

This is why our political system is breaking down. And George Washington warned us about this very thing in his farewell address.

Lordandmaster -> RE: Ann Coulter continues to embarass herself. (6/27/2007 10:21:15 PM)

Yeah, OK, whatever.  Of the candidates in the running today, which one would you vote for right now?
