I'm not sure how you can call french toast ice cream not original.  Or a "Boston Cream Pie" creation.

Or that fact that you can create your OWN ice cream creation with whatever ice cream and mix-ins that you want- that makes it about as unoriginal as your own imagination.

But I will say again it's not for kids.  Just like you don't go to Tiffany's to buy a ring for your 5 yo daughter, you don't go to a gumball machine for some quality jewelry.

What do you mean it's not for kids?  Sure, the large portions aren't so healthy for kids (though they do have sherbet and non-fat selections), but what kid wouldn't have a ball in an ice cream parlor with topping choices like gummy worms, oreos, and every candy bar imaginable?   My daughter (6) is more than worth the occasional Tiffany's quality ice cream (and so is her Mom).

The ice cream is good in that you can make all sorts of flavor combinations.  The non-fat sweet cream with strawberries is soooooooo good and the guilt in eating it can be kept to a minimum.

I've been quite amused by the television advertisements for The Cold Stone Creamery.  The problem is....it's done too good a job in the sense that I am sooooo wanting some! I've actually never been to one before but they do look yummy! For the last several weeks, I've been doing quite well in the eating department and I haven't really had a quite as bad a craving as I've had now. Most of the time they don't last long and I get over it. But this is baaaad!

I'm so close to caving. Any words of encouragement are very much appreciated. :)

For those who don't know what it is ------> http://www.coldstonecreamery.com/

Just a taste wont hurt !!
Drive up, walk in  to a CSC and ask for a taste test....just one small taste, walk out, devinely in heaven, that you tasted and did not cave in to the awesome taste of 3 scoops of CSC.

CSC is the bomb!!  My POV!

Sir's girl, who really is fond of Kopp's above CSC, esp the strawberry flavor.

A Cold Stone Creamery!!!!!! AND....there were NO customers in it
ya know there just might be a good reason for that...

*LOL!!*

Well....after I came out of the grocery store, they had customers. *S*

So everyone...how does the flavour compare to Haagen Dazs? That stuff is obscene! But there is absolutely no way I'll buy a container of it because I have no self control and I end up eating the whole thing. I have seen the mini container though (waaaay overpriced) at the ABC stores in Hawai`i....mango! It's sooooo yummmmmmmmy!

Well...I'm still thinking about it...but not obsessing. So I think I can pass it by - for now. :)

If I could just get past my love of cheese...I eat too much of it and it has waaay too much fat. *sigh*

Next step...exercise. :)

Oooo! I'll keep this in mind for the future! :) Once I get to a certain point, I will ease up on being so restrictive on what I include in my diet. I won't go overboard, but maybe allow myself the occasional small treat once a month or so. :)

Haven't ben in yet and haven't felt the urge. I usually take my money and walk the extra 3 blocks to baskin robbin. I grew up on that and Anderson Dairy in las vegas which buy the way makes the best strawberry ice cream EVER!! Most kinds its just pink ice cream no strawberries or like tiny bits. They put nice big REAL strawberry chunks in each container.

Personally, I bypass all the "premium ice cream shoppes" and hit the grocery store for Haagen Daas or Ben & Jerry's; and Ben & Jerry's even has great initials!

I like most of the store bought ice creams, and grew up on Baskin Robbins which I still love. But CSC has a special place in my heart, especially for their Rocky Road. I always tell myself I should try other flavors, but *sighs* I don't. lol

I would take HD over CSC any day.  but, I'm not an ice cream fanatic, that isn't the sweet that does me in.  but I will admit, I had a scoop of Dreyer's vanilla from my freezer last night...I waited just a couple of minutes (it's HOT here) until it was a bit gushy, and enjoyed every single bit.

I never did like Dreyers.  I'm just an ice cream snob.  :)
