well- i cant speak for trans-sexuals. i tried to befreind a few and they have some 'issues". But- in some cases- some flambouyant gay guys get in the face of- others. especially if the challenge is to lay a straight man. So- that % of gay guys need to snap out of that stage. Straight men want WOMAN- plain and simple. On the flip side- some gay guy was brutally attacked for hugging his partenr in LA. Live and let live. I know i went thru a sleazy ungood phaze. park sceen- ok- there can be a team of 2 guys. to set up a gay guy. most gay men have lotsa jelewery, drugs and cash.....antiques- you name it. the thing is- if you ask for trouble- you will find it, i wear no jewerly. period. bttm line- straight men want a WOMAN. not a gay guy! so get real gays whom are in this phaze!!!!

If you don't try to protect yourself, don't whine when you get attacked and can't offer a defense. If you live somewhere which tries to deny your the Right to Protect Yourself, then I would suggest moving to somewhere else.

If one of the shooters is apprehended and charged with "discharging a firearm within the city limits" the penalty is pretty minimal. If you add the hate crime enhancement then we have what you call "throwing the book at them" which is the purpose of the hate crime enhancement. It would appear that this discussion has had some effect on your thinking about this subject. thompson

Most of the movie people have gun permits out there. I was reading an article about it some years ago. Pa Hunk, yeah, what is it about Gays and antiques?

Pa Hunk, yeah, what is it about Gays and antiques? popeye: Contrary to what you may think you read some years ago... getting a concealed carry permit in California is easy for Dianne Finstien but for the rest of us it is a bit more difficult. Add to that the fact that most people (including cops) can't hit a 4'x8' sheet of plywood at twenty feet. Also consider that we are talking about shooting in a densely populated area just not a good idea for amatures. thompson

Add to the fact that i seriously doubt all people are mentally equipped to deal with the repercussions of carrying out the use of a firearm. Including most of the so called proponents posting here. Guns don't belong in everyone's hands. I see no reason why law abiding citizens should be put in the position of becoming a potential murderer because they were scared into it.

This is a case of more press bias. It has been pointed out on just a couple of media outlets that Cindy divorced her first husband and left her son with him to be raised while she became a political activist for the Democratic Party. She had very little to do with her son in his growing years. She remarried. The 1st husband remarried. The original father raised the son with his new wife. They miss their son and mourn the loss of his life. They have stated that they are very proud of their son and that they agree with the stance of America in Iraq and on terror. They said that their son was eager to serve and to go fight the terrorists in Iraq. He volunteered. How many news stations carried their interview? Not many. So the son dies in Iraq and then Cindy shows up to make a stink. She gets an audience with Bush. That was not enough. She goes to Crawford and demands another audience. How many news stations carry the ongoing saga of Cindy? Practically all of them. Cindy didn't care about her son. She let another woman raise him. Cindy doesn't care about the other soldiers in Iraq. Cindy cares about her liberal, feminist agenda and about using the death of her son to lobby against Republicans and Bush. And the press is helping her. Why? Stef, no in fact I don't know anyone who lives in LA County, Cal. And yes it does require training and a lot of practice to be a good shot. I was a former Fed so I've been through all those courses and we had to qualify every 6 months or so. I didn't realise that you had to be "connected" to excercise a basic right in LA Country or Calif. P.S. up in your neck of the woods I know a shitload and I mean a SHITLOAD of people who carry guns without a "permit" Massachusetts has some of the most Draconian laws in the country against the Second Amendment Rights of the People! Funny that word "permit". The state is going to "allow" you the right to excercise a Right? Do you guys need a "permit" up there yet to excercise your First Amendment Rights? That's only one of the reasons that I moved out of Mass many years ago to New Hampshire. FREEDOM.
