I really like trying different imported beers. As I am not a big drinker I figure if I'm going to have one it might as well be a good one.

There used to be a Mexican beer that I really liked but it went out of production for awhile. It's my understanding that it is now available again but I can't seem to get it in my area. The name of it is Simpatico. It comes in a jet black bottle.

Is anyone seeing this beer in their area or know how I can go about ordering it?

Also, I'd be interested to know what some of your favorite imports are.

I am Canadian, so I don't have to have an import to have a good beer

We're all good citizens here Mist.

We dont smoke, we dont eat the wrong foods, we exercise regularly and dont do drugs, and we certainly dont engage in drinking alcohol.

We'd have a very boring life - if it werent for the fact we're thrashing one another silly every now and then

I've never heard of the Simpatico, erin, but if it's made in Mexico, it's likely not far from here

I seldom drink now, but I like a nice, icy Corona.

Forget everything else Mist. What you need is proper English real ale, served at room temperature - dont chill it or you lose all the flavours; presumably US beer is served chilled because it has no flavour, but thats by the by.

There's an Armenian import I used to be able to get at a restaurant here, that has since closed down, that was HEAVEN!  It's called Kotayk (pronounced Ko-TIKE).  If anyone has a sighting on that, I would love to hear about it as well!  It left an aftertaste of pure honey.

Normally tho I'm not a huge beer drinker, but when I do it's Miller Lite, Ice House or Grolsch (sp?)...or if I'm at the German restaurant near work it's the one they put in front of me as soon as I sit down, for so long now that I cant remember the name because I never actually order it any more! rofl!

Knew there was a reason (had to be ONE) I liked you.

Grolsch as well.  Although I think they've done away with the bottles that had their own stoppers.  Pity.

(I don't really drink very often any more.)

Say it ain't so, they have the cutest commercials.

Anyway, I think beer is gross.  It all tastes the same to me.

Are all the beers in Germany very dark and strong? I have tried a few but they were a bit on the filling side for my tastes. Good if you are having just one but more than that I felt as though I had eaten a big meal.
