I myself am 22, I take this life very seriously, Im not the classic latex/leather clad amazon, I approach things more mentaly, but I'll use my slave the way best I can, and as I am learning (knowing my age is a factor and thus I make a point to absorb, learn, read and do as much as I can) I've been rudely scoffed at by slaves I've inquired into, and ignored by those who've even come to me, simply becuase they don't take me seriously do to my age. I find it somewhat frustrating, but in the same breath its why I tend to deal with slaves my own age, hell I got a very rude reply from a 26 year old Female, it seems uneeded. some of the younger Doms i have "met" here seem to embody, um, how to describe, like Heavenskeeper, Mad Rabbit, Rafters, for example. i read the things they say and i feel like, this a high quality guy here. i learn from what they say and i enjoy the content of their words. it is not so much an age things as it is a soul thing, a heart thing too. the trick i guess, is how to meet someone cut from this sort of cloth like these enlightened younger Doms are and not the lie, cheat use abuse fabric that many men of all ages are. i personally do not want a really young Dom. (ok i kinda do in a nice fantasy sort of way) i want one tho that is super cool and amazing, like some of these younger Doms really seem to be.

I am one of the Old Doms but remember what it was like when I was younger and full of piss and vinegar. The way I see it is that today its too easy to read a web site, catch on to some of the lingo and claim you are a Dom. There isnt any training anymore. (see my post under "Finding a Mentor"). truth be told there are not that many true Doms or subs out there in the real world. Reading the internet it seems like everyone is and has 25 years experience. Including Old Guard even though they arent gay or even male in some respects. Now I do want to be clear and say that there are expceptions and there are those who do have it together but that I feel is the vast minority. Geee is my cynism showing? LOL William

I truly think this is one of the few times that looking older than I actually am has worked to my advantage. That is the problem however if you're "hunting" in the online communities. People tend to read your stats and then make their decision instead of how you'd present yourself in real life.

I think the reason that there are so many issues about whats right or wrong, whos real or not is that people try to define this life to death. Its been made wayyyyyyy to hard and confusing for those who are new or interested. Addtionally people are judgemental and this should be a non-judgemental lifestyle. Just read the thread on the person who had their ureathra stretched. Most posts where slamming the person instead of answering their question. This can be a wonderful, open thing we do but the nay sayers and the ones who can only focus on what they consider wrong or dangerous make people afraid to talk openly and make them feel like they are wrong in liking what they do.
