One can find something apalling and still become aroused by it. Women find rape apalling yet many still have orgasms during it. On another thread here many folks talked about being aroused by rape scenes in movies...yet they still find rape apalling. Many people here participate in play rape scenes...even survivors....and find it very arousing....yet they are still apalled by rape.

One should not label someone a sick pervert for a reaction that is a normal response...a response that is beyond their concious control and is often shocking and troubling to the very person it occurs in. It does not mean that someone accepts, condones or has some secret perversion about rape.

I would agree with you a lot.  When I had the reaction I did, mostly to his reaction, I felt bad about it.  I thought I had to be sick..how could I have any sort of positive reaction from something so horrid.  I then had to accept that I didn't control what happened, either the abuse, or the my bodily reaction to his being turned on by it.

There is enough bad stuff related to rape and molestation, things you carry for the rest of your life.  I refuse to have guilt about the way my body decides to conduct itself at the mention of them.

I honestly think it was more of the fact that the one guy I was thinking of told me how hot it was and that it wasnt really abuse because I had to have enjoyed all of it.. I wanted to know what was enjoyable about a 5 yo beeing taken advantage of.. But I guess like you said to each their own.. and it is to me apalling to say such things!!

To Magik's slave;  Now that's sad that occurred and unfortunately the 'stereotypical view' of how many think a male would react.

To Mistoferin- Food for thought- the labelling you refer where woman can unfairly judge another sister is profound in many ways.   I watched a documentary on the word SLUT (in vanilla sense) where studies proved it is women who judge  other women by using the word and actually perpetuate society's use of the word themselves as a weapon against other women.   Men simply mimic this.

EDITED TO Add;  As ones wishing to further our enlightenment of others' perspectives we must be aware of what effects our labelling has upon others that have different experiences to ours, hence my comment to Magik and Mistoferin's previous comments.   Uniformed comment further damages (in rape/molestation) souls that need healing and acceptance.

Interesting thought, men have no responsaility for these things because they are just mimcing monkeys following what women do?? I like that thought LOL

Magik- I just edited my last and I like your take on this.  Seriously on the word SLUT, this program put up an extremely creditable argument that men mimic what women perpuate with SLUT.   Laughs to you on your take!

((giggles)) Im sorry but how you said it made it seem like men have no minds of their own there for they just mimic and arent accountable for their actions because of it!! Afterall anyone that just mimics has no ability to think for themselfs. And if they do have the ability to think for themselfs but mimic anyway then well they are responsable for makeing the desistion to mimic and there for are just as responsable for the use of the words as those they mimiced it from. But your theary is that they just mimic there for they arent thinking for themselfs, I have often thought that about many men so I like that theary!! LOL

rmanrr -> RE: Rape after effects (7/4/2007 8:41:50 PM)

Greetings.
Not in My case mistoferin. I own santalia and I did not become aroused by it, in any regard except to have anger directed to the cur who performed the act. I may wish at some point to enact a play rape scene....but that would be far long in our journey and only after a lot of discussion about how she would react....and how I would as well.

AquaticSub -> RE: Rape after effects (7/4/2007 8:47:58 PM)

This is very true rmanrr. While I am certainly not saying it is uncommon for a man to become strangely aroused a woman's tale of rape or for her to revisit it in her mind and find sexual pleasure, I would also say that it is just as common for a man, upon hearing the tale of rape, to become not aroused but angry or protective. I have related my own tale of molestion several times to different men. At least three ex-boyfriends and several male and female friends. While I was never told arousal, I did have to frequently remind them that it was in the past and future violence would do no good.

How does having an orgasm during rape have anything to do with anything?? Or arousal?

Did I orgasm during any of the rapes, I don't remember, it wasn't exactly something I was thinking about, nor was I thinking about being aroused, I was thinking more of getting out of the situation and surviving. I find NOTHING arousing about rape, if anything, it disgusts me at how some people take away from what rape is, a violent nonconsensual act, and make it basically into a game of sorts, by adding the word 'play' or 'fantasy.' Whatever happened, to dicency, tact, respect and understanding?! Rape is NOT a game.

You are absolutely correct Aqua, that is another common reaction. So is distancing themself from the survivor, withdrawing into themselves, misguided and misplaced anger, becoming overly protective to the point of smothering...even anger AT the survivor....and a whole bunch of other reactions. I addressed arousal because that is what the OP was asking about, but it is certainly not the only common reaction. What specific reaction an individual's partner may have is entirely unpredictable.

SRB, I realize that you can only see the world through your apparently very narrow scope of understanding but believe it or not, just because you experienced it one way doesn't mean that everyone does. Yes, there are women who have become aroused during rape, yes there are women who become aroused when thinking about their rape.

The fact that you said that you actually counsel women on another thread absolutely scares the shit out of me. You have major issues that you have obviously not successfully dealt with and I would suggest to you that you find the professional help you need instead of spewing your toxic emotional vomit all over these boards. I know there is little chance you will heed my advice as many others here have said basically the same thing, albeit not quite as directly, and you have chosen to ignore each and every one of them.

Lockit -> RE: Rape after effects (7/4/2007 9:57:59 PM)

Spiderbite... did you start this thread and ask this so that you could find out who had been raped and then email them so that you could get off to their stories?

Just curious....

smilingjaguar -> RE: Rape after effects (7/4/2007 10:05:33 PM)

I was just thinking that...

Lockit -> RE: Rape after effects (7/4/2007 10:08:25 PM)

These women have been raped and victimized already...

I think if you have a fetish... be open about it... be honest and just state you want stories... don't hide it.

slaverosebeauty -> RE: Rape after effects (7/4/2007 10:09:38 PM)

I'm with Lockit, Spiderbite is acting 'off.'

Yo, Spiderbite, if you want to read rape stories {emailing me directly and asking me the SAME questions that you asked on here and asking for more 'details' is sick}, pick up a book.

Personally, you won't get ANY details from me, reliving that stuff is nothing that I ever want to do, I'm glad I have moved on with my life and I am stronger now. I keep what happened very close to my chest, few friends know what happened let alone past partners, so as for sharing the actual 'events' that occured with a complete and total stranger, not gonna happen.

If you want to know about rapes, read public records or novels.

Lockit -> RE: Rape after effects (7/4/2007 10:11:05 PM)

How many others got that form email?

Lockit -> RE: Rape after effects (7/4/2007 10:14:41 PM)

wow he sure left fast

slaverosebeauty -> RE: Rape after effects (7/4/2007 10:15:00 PM)

The 2 form emails I recieved are as follows -

quote:

I was using the term “rape play” in the way I have heard some women use it to describe a fantasy they have, and if they were actually raped, I think that they would agree with you that it is nothing but a violent act.
If I may, did your rape(s) occur before you realized that you are a slave? Did your rapes “force” you into this lifestyle?

and

quote:

Thank you for your reply, I agree that a rape is a very violent act and I understand and would never wish anyone to experience it.

Did any other ladies recieve either or both of those???

Lockit -> RE: Rape after effects (7/4/2007 10:17:29 PM)

I am sorry everyone... I asked him questions and he lied twice.  Said he only emailed on female dominant and then said that he was waiting for permission for the collared submissives to give their stories.  First answer only one... then when questioned it came out he sent more... I just tried to email some of you to ask before I asked this.  I am not trying to police the site... but I don't like what I am seeing here and wanted to warn others that something might be up.  I am sorry.

Lockit -> RE: Rape after effects (7/4/2007 10:18:37 PM)

Nope... mine was long.
