Status: offline 		i have heard this phrase before but not really sure what it means. Does it mean that a sub/slave can get a spanking whenever her/his Dom/Domme feels like it? Or will they recieve one just because? How many of you recieve these maintance spankings?

Status: offline 		Its more of when the sub just needs a spanking for whatever reason, I honestly only ever heard of it when spanking is used as punishmend, but sometime even when the sub is beeing good the sub craves a spanking and will want one in order to continue beeing good, so that they dont feel they have to act out in order to get the Dom to spank them... honestly Im gunna get flamed for this, but its kinda just play or roleplay (in my opinion)

I would imagine it's like orgasms for me. Some people need a spanking/orgasm/flogging/etc. every so many days to maintain a good headspace.

Status: offline 		In a sense I'm given them all the time.  Spanking to the one that i serve isn't for punnishment it's for pleasure but for me i need to be spanked to basicly have a reminder of my place.  Spanking doesn't have to be just for punnishment......and when it's not it's more fun.

Status: offline 		i have heard of maintance spankings in more of a Domestic Discipline setting, not as much in a BDSM relationship.  In the DD context, the maintance spanking is to re-enforce the Head of household's (usually the husband) role as the leader.  For the submissive (wife) it is to remind her of her place and what will happen if she chooses to misbehave or break a rule.

LOL Obviously, you dont talk with or hang out with people into spanking!!!  FYI, maintenance spankings are VERY COMMON in real time spanking relationships.  That phrase probably means different things to those getting them.  For ME, a maintenance spanking would be one that would help keep me balanced and centered.  One that would help me relieve stress.  It is not a punishment spanking, it is not a beating, it is not really for the Dom's sense of balance.  It is usually for the submissive's peace of mind or to help her stay on course so that she doesnt go astray or get too lost in her life or in the relationship. 

In relationships where she is the slave, and has NO right to ask for what she needs, then a maintenance spanking probably wouldnt be an option.  Hopefully, her Master would know what she needs, and would give it as needed.  Though perhaps slaves dont like spankings???

I am into sensuous spankings, so a maintenance spanking would help me relax and feel giddy and help me sleep better.  It probably wouldnt be as arousing as a very sensuous spanking, but it would help with stress and a release of tension.

Status: offline 		We don't do those Master will spank me if he fells likr it not for mantiance but just cause he feels like it a play spanking not a very hard spanking.  Brings to mind our first play session i asked Master to spank me (my first spanking from him) before we played.  I need to make sure if i deserved one it he would do it.

While the right might not be there, most slaves are encouraged to communicate and ask for what they want.

Status: offline 		I am a slave and I adore spankings.  I like they way they make me feel and how they keep me in my place, so to speak.  I love getting one every single day and I don't mind, nor does Master if I ask for one.  It's just a way to let some stress out and it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling that lasts till the next one.

Status: offline 		Sometimes a maintenance spanking is used for something as little as keeping the slave's mind centered on her place in her life.  Other times is just something to keep a person in a good mood if they are into spankings.  It is also used to train one to enjoy the light pain of a normal spanking.
