I think maintenance spankings are extremely valid.  For some, it keeps them in check, and for some it also clears out all that stuff that seems to find it's way in...making one somewhat of an insensitive prick sometimes.

For men, probably more so than women (I'm one of those men type...so I can't really speak for the wimmens), it is highly effective at clearing my head and getting me back to a proper focus.

Without it...I can tend to run amuk.

(Or so I've been told)

Status: offline 		Oh Hell yeah...I need maintenence spankings! In the morning, before Capnspankins goes to work I get a kiss AND a spank goodbye! I get spanked whenever and however Master wants, because he likes doing it, and because I need it. I get them whether I've been good OR bad.

Status: offline 		I have heard a slave use the term 'slave maintenance.' I think she was talking about a kind of sort of ritualistic thing where her Master bruised her up and bossed her around and in general spent time being overtly dominant and attentive. She said it helped her remain focused on her slavery.

I really enjoy having my butt disciplined and often i just find that after a good spanking im only just warmed up and ready for something alot harsher.."has anyone seen Mistresses cane" :-)

The wife gets spanked on a certain day of the week or month either to lump all her weekly misbehaviors into one event (so as to cut down on multiple spankings), or to re-assert the husband's authority. We were DD before we got kinky, but it definately wasn't for us. Spankings, in my subby masochistic opinoin, should be fun. :-)

Status: offline 		My Mary and I are new to the lifestyle but have been together for 4-5 years, She started daily spankings with a belt weeks ago. It is a daily reminder of my place, of our relationship. This is (I don't know how to say it) a gift/sign a symbol of my devotion to her..something I wish to share on a daily basis. of a sign of our relationship. A type of commitment. It clears my head and for most of the day a warm ass is a reminder of her. Which I love. There has been a day or two when she hasn't spanked and that to is for my benefit.She will do it as she seems necessary. She was concerned in the beginning that I enjoyed it to much. But has since realized I need it and she is now aware if I enjoy it to much she can turn up the intensity. (not so enjoyable but as I have told her the purpose is not for my enjoyment although I do. Make any sense ?? I am upset at her now and hurried out this morning. I might be sorry tonight.

in my case, it keeps me in a position where its a reminder that i belong to him and am not allowed to damage his property.  otherwise i have issues with self-injury and he knows this.

Daddy inflicting the pain for me allows me to be able to set aside the emotional issues and just feel the good pain that over-rides it.  and so i dont do things like cut myself, which he doesnt wish me to do any longer.

Status: offline 		My main purpose for random or maintenance spankings is to keep her in subspace and to lessen or avoid the effects of sub drop. They also provide a wonderful way of  keeping her on her toes. The down side is it can become difficult to be consistent with them if I'm away doing my own thing or I'm in to much physical pain to do them.
