Thank you for your concern, but if we have a problem with where people are posting we'll deal with it.  If we don't, then you certainly have no reason to.

I post in this forum because I sometimes feel I have something constructive to add to the discussion. I''m generally comfortable on CM and I've never been made to feel unwelcome here. So there.

My own personal thoughts is I have no isues who posts replies in which forum. SActually I find it is good to see a Dom responding in "ask a sub/slave" forum, to me this shows that there are Doms who are open enough to read about what comcerns subs/slaves are asking about and the same applies to subs/slaves responding in "ask a Master or Mistres forums and the Gor forum. Curiosity leads to questions which leads to learning which leads to growth. And sometimes another point of view gives that reality check we all need from time to time.

What about the multi-cultural, bi-racial, pre-op, transgendered, bisexual, cross-dressing, switch; trying to find their 'one' after a long journey of self discovery?

Where should they post and respond?

I post where and when I feel like I have something to add to the conversation.  I have never in all of the time on here (with my previous profile, so over a year), had anyone tell me they didn't think I had a right to answer their question.  If they did, I still don't think I would listen..they would just get my opinion on why I think I should be able to answer anyway.

post replies in the "Ask a submissive" forum?  I haven't been to the "Ask a Master" forum to be honest, but I'm going to guess that a lot of submissives answer questions there as well.  If someone wants to hear from both sides, it seems that they would post in the general forum or even cross post in both forums as I've seen mentioned if they want to truly separate the opinions.  Is the urge to be heard that desperate that people can't control themselves from answering questions not directed toward them?

Just curious.

The fact that you have not been to the Ask A Master forum and maybe some of the others means that you could actually be missing out on some very interesting posts and responses. I have often read posts in that and other fora that have sparked interesting conversations between Master and myself and led to a different understanding of certain situations.

I tend not to post a lot in any of the forums. I read a lot of them but only post a response if there's something particularly interesting or if I feel a deep compulsion to respond. I started a new thread on the submissive's forum yesterday that a Dominant responded to. I appreciated his viewpoint. It helps me as I am figuring out this particular point for myself, just as I appreciated all of the submissives who responded. I figure responding on "Masters" forum with my viewpoint can give a unique twist to what is going on, or at least I like to think so.

The title of the categories insinuate that by asking a question in a forum geared towards a specific type, that the answers will come from those who identify as that type.  i can understand the OP's confusion. In an Ask a Christian chatroom, you are not going to expect to hear answers from Druids. This is not to say they have no valuable opinion, it is just not their forum. CM forums have no boundaries. It's the way the locals like it.
(Just to give you a heads up: Profile requests for responses from one gender, are ignored. Requests for preferred dynamics are also ignored.) People say whatever they want, where ever they want. This is not always a rude thing. It's easier to explain this time and time again to newbies than to change the name of the rooms, but i do understand the confusion.

You can ask for responses from only one type if it bothers you, and ignore the posts of those who ignored your request. If this doesn't sit well, try reading profiles online, find people whose opinions you think would work for you, and ask them a question off the board.

OP: your question is a bit offensive.  You are basically implying that anyone post in multiple forums is desperate, which would be about everyone who actually post in the forums regularly.

The different forums are mainly for loose organisation. For instance you dont seem many Gorean or "gear" related post in the "ask the.. " forums. Most just try to  post in  forum in which the question would be directed too. Anyone can throw in their two cents and you would be surprised at how much a sub might know about  topic directed at a dom or  how much a dom might know  about a subject directed at a sub. This is because, if you think about it, Doms and subs go togather like peanut butter and jelly.  It would be the same as someone asking you a question on your partner.  You might know the answer because you know your partner.

That would be true for some, but not for the vast majority.

The other thing to consider is that many people will link to this side directly from the collarme side based on the scrolling and something catches their attention so they don't even notice which forum they've posted in, they just click the link and start posting. I've had to catch myself a few times doing that when I discovered I'd ended up on the Gor board.

Some days it takes every ounce of strength I have to keep from responding in the sarcastic manner I am known for.

I don't post much, but usually, I go to the posts through the scroll on the side of the home page.  I don't give it much thought as to what specific forum it belongs to.  I never did understand why people want to confine themselves in a box, unless of course, it is bdsm related.

Thank you for your concern regarding my "urges." I assure you, I have them under control - and what I can't control, I have a Master who does so very well, so thank you again.

That being said, I post where I want because I am a thinking WOMAN who happens to be my Master's slave. I am no better, nor less than anyone else posting anywhere they choose. I presume that the dominants posting in the Ask a Submissive/Slave forum are also thinking people who are no better, nor less than anyone else posting here as well.

I'd suggest that if you have such a difficulty with others not posting where YOU believe they should/should not be posting, that you make the decision to simply move on by their posts and pretend they said nothing of importance to you. You'd probably be wrong, but hey, no one's stopping you in your quest to be wrong either.

Now, what I'm wondering if there is some urge to be rude that is so difficult for you to control that you feel it necessary to insult those who DARE to post where you believe they shouldn't.

Or perhaps, they are, and you should consider thinking a bit outside that pigeonhole you're casting everyone else into.

To the OP,

Seriously? You are trying to take a group of intellegent, kinky, BDSM folks and put them in specific boxes/forums? Please feel free to read any/all of the forums here. If you aren't careful you might learn something.

Greetings petal7,

Sorry to be one of the Doms to post in the wrong forum, but I was quite amused to see this question. I could have predicted some of the replies (though not the response from one of the mods!).

You have stepped on too many toes!

Flames don't bother me or I wouldn't read forums.  I'm actually amused that so many people are offended by a "question."  I still don't get the point of having separate forums if everyone posts in them, but the thread has been good for some laughs.  My predictions about certain people I knew would follow me to this thread have been confirmed.  LOL
