I have not seen his movie, although from what I understand it is a film based on the (mis)treatment of people in the United States at the hands of Big Medicine.

I have my own story (from 14 years ago) about being at the business end of Big Medicine's Iron Bootheel, denying me proper care, doing whatever they could to try to keep me from complaining, and treating me like shit to save money, so I will probably empathize and understand where his film is coming from. 

I can only hope you people who think Michael Moore is a hypocrite and a liar never have to live through what he is documenting.  I dont agree with everything he says, but a lot of what he shows in his films makes a lot more sense than the drivel emanating from the cowed media and the administration.

Yep. This is the craziness of the system. How is someone supposed to recover from an illness if they are going to be in constant state of anxiety about how they are going to pay their bills and will they have enough money to see through their medical care.

He did not do himself a favor doing that movie, because one day he will need the services of the medical profession. That means he has a big head, he steps on toes that might be connected to asses he'll have to kiss later. But he is cocky because he has some success under his belt. The money does it for most.

Moore is out to lay his opinion on the world, an opinion with which I, and many others, do not completely agree. But then what of others ? Do others not push their agenda as well ? I think very very few people don't, whether conciously or not.

If you think you are right and you are expressing yourself you are being honest. Anything other than that is lying.

So the acid test is this : Do you think Moore was lying or that he presented what he saw as the truth ?

No matter how biased, did he knowingly lie ? I tend not to think so, but he is quite biased and actually a bit alarmist. Now he is alienating the media, which is a bad decision for him.

Back when 911 was about to be released and a court case was filed to stop it he had a media circus going on. After pissing them off they will probably pass on his brand of controversy at least and he might fade into obscurity. Or perhaps they'll get some dirt on him, like an illegal tax shelter or something.

They did it to Willie Nelson and he didn't piss them off anywhere near as much as Moore.
