ORIGINAL: Sinergy I have not seen his movie, although from what I understand it is a film based on the (mis)treatment of people in the United States at the hands of Big Medicine. I have my own story (from 14 years ago) about being at the business end of Big Medicine's Iron Bootheel, denying me proper care, doing whatever they could to try to keep me from complaining, and treating me like shit to save money, so I will probably empathize and understand where his film is coming from. I can only hope you people who think Michael Moore is a hypocrite and a liar never have to live through what he is documenting. I dont agree with everything he says, but a lot of what he shows in his films makes a lot more sense than the drivel emanating from the cowed media and the administration. Sinergy Good point!Sinergy Thanks for sharing that, and glad you survived. I don`t know about you,but I`ve never seen a sick person, defend our system,or argue that we don`t have major problems, when it comes to health care.Only lobbyists, talking heads, and payed public relations types. I usually only see healthy, well fed, happy folks, making all the apposing arguments.Like the gentleman who started this thread. As if they weren`t subject to the same things talked about in the film.As if they weren`t mortal,or would never get sick.I wonder if they know that they`re on the edge also.Unless you have millions saved(yes,it`s possible to go through that much, depending),or own your own medical insurance company,it`s possible to lose everything, including your home, money, health care coverage, and dignity .I`m also pretty sure, that these same people will squeal like stuck pigs, when they`re denied care or coverage. For what it`s worth,I also don`t want anyone to have to go through what`s documented in "Sicko",even Moorse`s critics. Peace
