MMR scare doctor faces GMC panel

The doctor who first suggested a link between the MMR vaccine and autism is due to face charges of serious professional misconduct.

Good.

I am just amazed it took this long.

Have any kids that weren't vaccinated died from one of the infections yet? The worthless SOB is trading gullible parent's children's lives against a chance to make a few fat consulting fees from parents suing the vaccine manufacturers over autism. Losing his medical license is the very least that should happen to him.

Termyn8or -> RE: .mmr 'scare' doctor to face charges. (7/16/2007 2:11:10 PM)

Wait a fucking minute here, is there thimerosal in MMR ? If so the guy was right.

The autism rate had to go up to 1 in 150 for them to take it out. Did they ever bother to do anything to the first guy who put it in ?

Ask me for evidence and I shall comply. This is not evidence though, that thimerosal was in MMR, of that I have no idea, but on Google I put in both terms and got quite a bit. The quick read didn't reveal anything, but there is a growing contingent of the medical community that does believe that childhood vaccines at least WERE causing higher autism rates.

Believe what you want to believe, and I am not disputing anything at this time. But just because they busted the guy does not mean he is wrong.

OK, I am asking you for evidence... not rumors, not unfounded claims, not whacko statements from some politician with a famous last name, but replicable evidence that autism is caused by vaccinations.

Termyn8or I agree, of course they want to silence this guy.
But autism is rising, and no one knows why.
For me the jury is still out on the link between autism and vaccinations.

This is an example of "coincidence does not equal causality".  We also have a dramatic increase in the use of ultrasounds during the same period; would that cause autism?  We don't know, because it hasn't been analyzed statistically.

There's been an increase partly due to increased awareness/reporting (a lot of education going on) and changes in the definition of autism.

The autism rates have not dropped since they quit using Thimerisol in the vaccines, so there doesn't seem to be any link at all.  Though I guess if you get a lot of hits on google that equals credibility in the modern world......

Sorry no. Thimerosol and the MMR vaccine have both been completely ruled out as being causes of autism.

Termyn8or -> RE: .mmr 'scare' doctor to face charges. (7/16/2007 10:45:51 PM)

Thimerosal was ruled out as a cause of autism by WHO ?

Shills for the people who make it.

You called, now I raise. I won't give you site, but maybe some cites. But I am kicking ass and GIVING names.

Thimerosal is about 50% mercury. Kids would get 52 vaccines via 15 shots by age 16 months, and mercury is defined as a neurotoxin by that group. The safe level (set by them) was 0.01 microgram per kilogram of body weight per day. Some of these injection introduced as much as 60-50 micrograms, INTO A BABY !!!!!!!!

Somebody at Morton Thiakol threw some money around to get this OKed.

Now get this. I will have the names very soon, if you need them. A medical doctor had an autistic kid. He also had some normal kids. I guess he wasn't all that smart though, he had all his kids tested for mercury and found it in their hair, but not the hair of the autistic kid. They were from the same Parents and had recieved the same vaccinations. He concluded therefore that mercury could not be the problem.

Another MD happened along and saw the results and had a different conclusion. That different people's bodies have a different way of dealing with mercury. In the autistic kid, it went into the tissues, in the non autistic kids it was held in the bloodstream for later excretion, and never got really absorbed.

There is another totally unrelated story by another MD condemning the innoculations. This one claims that these innoculations are fucking up the kids' immune systems and is one of the causes of allergies. He gets pretty specific.

He says that because the immune system is not allowed to develop, the immune system does not know the good bacteria from the bad. And yes folks, if you are alive there are at least 1,000 different types of bacteria in your body.

I'll be back with some names,

T

Once again no!
Here is a recent, winter 2007, review of all relevant studies done worldwide. No substantive relationship between thimerosal and autism was found.

I'm sorry you were taken in by those looking to make a profit on thisi issue.

LadyEllen -> RE: .mmr 'scare' doctor to face charges. (7/17/2007 1:43:59 AM)

As I understand it, the charge is not that he challenged the establishment - but that he conducted research into the matter using unethical and unprofessional methods, including the taking of blood samples from his kids' friends at a party without their parents' permission.

Of course, one can read into the situation what one will, but to me it seems the guy overstepped a mark in terms of conduct, and the charge reflects this - "gross professional misconduct".

meatcleaver -> RE: .mmr 'scare' doctor to face charges. (7/17/2007 1:53:28 AM)

There is so much chemical and industrial shit in our environment, even when it appears clean, who can possibly know what's in the background causing such problems as autism. Without something being an obvious cause and Thimerosol isn't, it is like searching for a needle in a haystack.

It just isn't in the interests of anyone to shut this bloke up if he is right.

RCdc -> RE: .mmr 'scare' doctor to face charges. (7/17/2007 2:02:40 AM)

If he did overstep the mark - if there is medical misconduct.  And if this mans ethics are questionable - then one would have to question his authority and motives behind the whole MMR situation.

Didn't he also patent his own product (single injections)while criticizing the mmr? That is something I thought I heard on the radio and for a practicing doactor, if it is true, an obvious conflict of interest.

There was something more to it MC yes - but I dont recall what it was from last night's news and am too lazy to go check it out! It was along the lines of something either commercial or legal for which he was conducting his private research I think.

Its been claimed that basically he was phishing to see if he could "help" people who thought their offspring had got Autism from the MMR jab.
I believe one of the diseases, not sure which one, has increased in frequency since parents steered clear of the injections.

China's incidence of autism is rising at a dramatic rate, on the order of hundreds of percents.

Of course, Big Pharma sold them all the vaccines which had thimerosol in them something like 8 years ago.

Sinergy

p.s.  Read a few months ago that one of the bills which went through Congress contained a rider granting
legal immunity to vaccine manufacturers IF a link could be established between thimerosol and autism.  Make of
that what you will...

The anti-vax crowd joins such august company as holocaust deniers, flat earthers, 'we-never-went-to-the-moon-ies', witch hunters, and 'Protocols of the Elders of Zion' claiimants in being impressed with their own ability to embrace superstition and promote ignorance.
