i hope they ban him....seems no one in atlanta has the balls to do anything.....

Hold on a second, he deserves his day in court. Once/if he is convicted he should get a life time ban.

The Falcons can and should evaluate the situation and if they believe the feds case is correct they should release him.

Got a source for that?

Besides, who gives a fuck what Vick's lawyer says.  That's a man who's paid to say anything he can to vindicate his client.  Besides, IF IT'S TRUE, it's a bad thing for a lawyer to say, because it's a dead giveaway that he can't defend his client against the charge.

lets see....alleged merrywanna at an airport, shooting birds at the fans, a constant "i am michael vick-screw yall" attitude on the local news constantly.....and several other things i just cant recall at this hour.......it may be i see more of his misadventures living in atlanta, but im sick of him....

he does deserve a day in court.........he doesnt deserve to be paid millions of dollars for being an asshole, who is convinced he is above the law and constantly reminds the city of atlanta, the falcons, and the nfl, how damn lucky we are to have him.....

imho anyhow.....

cyberdude....Why would you feel the need to bring this to anyone's attention....What in the fuck is wrong with you?.....Some people? who your dad and your mom?

cite the source.

Here's a source.

The NFL Channel's Total Access show today interviewed Jamie Dukes, one of their correspondents who says he's lived in Atlanta for over 20 years and who knows what the town thinks and feels or something to that effect.

Dukes stated that the radio stations in Atlanta offered different slants on the Michael Vick story, with the "more conservative" stations wanting to run Mike Vick out of town (and are also Matt Schaub fans).  Translation: white radio stations hate Michael Vick because he's black and would much prefer a white quarterback (such as Schaub) playing for Atlanta.

Dukes continues on to say that the "more liberal" radio stations, in comparison, believe that this entire affair is a witchhunt with no justifiable basis, since Mike Vick had no way to oversee the day-to-day operations of a major dogfighting gambling racket.  Translation:  the black stations say that Michael Vick is being indicted because he's black, and that he's obviously innocent of any wrong-doing.

Sounds like the race card to me.  *shrugs*

Did you miss the part about this stuff taking place on his property?  Do you actually believe he didn't know what was going on?  Don't be surprised if they have eye witness who will spill the bad details.  I can't wait, but the topic is so disgusting I don't if I'll have the stomach to read about it.

Hello Joey Harrington!

NFL Channel's Total Access reported that the Feds went to look at the property TWICE and were very quiet about the entire investigation, and that this was an indication that they probably found enough evidence to get really serious with their charges against Mike Vick.

I saw a clip of the Feds digging up the property grounds, where dozens of dogs were allegedly buried after they were killed via electrocution, baseball bats, etc.

I wonder if all this hoopla will amount to anything in the end, however.  If convicted, Michael Vick faces a maximum term of 6 years in prison and a $350,000 fine.  I bet he won't do a day of jail time, and even if he's fined the maximum amount, it's really not a big deal for someone who has tens (or maybe hundreds) of millions of dollars.

There is a possibility that he may plead out.  But that will ruin his career, but I think his career is going to be over soon, regardless of what happens.  Atlanta doesn't need him and neither does the NFL.

The good 'ol race card.  The last act of desperation when one is indisputably guilty and one's back is against the wall.  If I hear "it's a cultural thing and that's the way he was raised", I'll go postal.

I'm sad--not just for the dogs, obviously--but because most people will now think of Michael Vick as a supremely talented quarterback who never succeeded in the NFL because he got in trouble with the law.

They won't think of him as a supremely overrated quarterback who was never going to succeed in the NFL even if he had been a fucking altarboy.

Yanno....

I used to bust up--and think ''good for him''-- when drunks would pick fights with a guy like Charles Barkley--and then get punched in the face. Same thing with Artest....Sure he's a little squirrely for some, but I like him.

But if what Colin Cowherd outlined this morning about Vick is true.....he should do some serious time. There's no excuse in the world for torturing a helpless dog.

My question is: Where is Vicks cousin  < Boddie>? The one who actually lived on the property and was interviewed by the Feds. And originally took blame for this. < link below> He is not mentioned in the indictment, and no one can tell me he lived there and was oblivious to the goings on. My guess is that he has made a deal with the Feds and is singing like a little birdie.

And I expect Vick to follow suit. I can't recall where I read it, but there were rumblings that others, including NFL players were deep in the dog fighting biz. So I am fully expecting Vick to start naming names and making his own deal. I hope the Feds deny him a deal.

I personally would stick his dick in a glory hole and let a few of his pitbulls loose on the other side. And a few other things that would violate TOS if I wrote.

Good Point, silly me.  I can shrink wrap the sucker first, then put a condom on it.

BTW, the Humane Society has a place you can write your thoughts and send them to the NFL commish, if anyone is interested. It also has Goodell's phone number.

Depends on the deal.  Avoid a felony charge?  No way.  But if he helps them prosecute other scumbuckets, that should be taken into consideration.

--Owner59....

This creetan, Mike Vic.. is so guilty..  you dont have this much evidence around you without being connected..  I am sure he is guilty.. sure..  I have been following this for along time..  and there are a few more sick bastards in the nba.. nfl...   who are under suspicion..  god help us..

I hope they nail him..nail him good.  he makes too much money to be doing this...  .. and then doing this takes a certain type of monster..  how can you sit there and watch this take place..  I think the dateline and 20/20 should do a special on the dog fighting events..  write them...

if more people really new what this involves it would  sickened the  hardest of folks..  how about the live bait dogs...  the ones that are gotten fraudulently ..with girlfriends or paid crack heads to show up with kids..boat loads of money and act like they want to take dogs home.. or the ones that steal them ...( these are YOUR loving doggies.. mr. sit on your lap never bit anyone dogs)  they are used as live bait dogs.... picture you baby.. thrown in a pit..terrified by the noise and just horrible goings on..the pit will rip them to shreads.. near death..    then there may be a few more breaths left..they use it again for another dog..    sometimes they cant move and are thrown to the side.. they will die...

sometimes they are big...or even will defend themselves a bit..  so they rip out their teeth..or poke out their eyes..or burn them..  they oh yeah sometimes break the rotties legs..or tape their mouths..  live bait dogs ...  sometimes to sleep in a cage till the next mornings trial...

then there are the cats.. and racoons..  they are in cages placed over the dogs .. ..or worse turpintine..yes burning turpintine on corn cobs..  placed in their rectums..  so they screetch and whirl around..giving the fighting dogs a chance to get "rialed"  ..  the looser dogs thrown or winning dog.. half starved...

I one undercover had one of these pimp mother fuckers.. tell me the dogs need it..they like it.. I went behind a truck and puked, becuase I wanted to kill HIM...

then lets talk about the graduate other program of fighting animals for sport..  how about those darling little loving pigs....... the pot belly and such as hogs..  they throw them ... altered of course in their with a few dogs.. ripped them to shreds..  then when the dogs cant finish them off... they all jump in the pit and kick and yell.. and I am not sure what..beat the hog to death..or close..

oh yes, the new thing is now these Mike Vic wonder boys are going to suburban dog parks..where mr. and mrs. vanilla  are enjoying normal pet ownership... the thugs.. letting their baby pit fighters go..   to see if they attack.. most dogs in the park will not be shredded.. but there is blood, stiches and other things that the guys can say oooh sorry...    but they see the pits that have the aggressive personality traits they want..

This disturbs me on so many levels.. once something I was trying to prevent..  I get so emotional about this topic..  it is a complex topic.. him..race..athlete....  money and just a whole list of issues..  but the actual activity and  the level of "cruelty" is very scary..  very..  mostly men do this..and to be able to enjoy this ..dear god help us..

And me too Owner 59... god help the man I see doing this too... I will go get a few rather brave friends at  visit later that night and lets just say do what is neccy...  ...

This horrifys me, some people are saying no big deal its just dogs...

I dunno LAM. I normally would agree but the pure heinousness < is that a word? > of the degree of not just dogfighting, but murdering makes me hope he suffers some penalty. I think the max on these charges is 6 years, so yeah, I would be OK, but not happy with 4 years if he turned over some names. But I also think the bigger charges will be the illegal gambling charges, carrying a bigger sentence. Personally I could care less about the gambling, but I hope they tack it on to lengthen the sentence. Provided, of course, he is found guilty.
