ORIGINAL: Level Hell, Rich, I hope he doesn't "end up" anywhere. He's a goof, and an embarrasment. Hey Level, Why do you feel this way? Is it because of his plagarism or because of what he said about the 9/11 victims? The article said, "School officials concluded Churchill couldn't be dismissed because he was exercising his First Amendment rights. But they launched the investigation into his research in other work." What a coincidence. The fact that he falsified research and plagarised others' work wasn't that big of a deal until after he said what he did about the 9/11 victims? That investigation should have been launched as soon as those details came to light but it obviously wasn't that important. Then he says something many people don't like and all of a sudden the investigation becomes necessary? Smacks of censorship to me. Of course, they aren't admitting those remarks are the impetus behind the witch-hunt - um, I mean - "investigation." But it sure seems like convenient timing if they aren't. Freedom of speech is for everyone, not just those who say things everyone likes. And I'll bet you dollars to donuts that many of the same folks who vehemently defend that anorexic cunt Ann Coulter in what she said about the 9/11 victims' widows will want to see this guy's ticket get punched. Wow - what a double standard.............luci Good morning, luci, I feel the way I do about Churchill primarily for his comments on 9/11, but if the other charges against him are true, that certainly doesn't help matters. Calling the people in the Twin Towers "little Eichmans", in reference to the Nazi Adolph Eichman, and as "braying, self-importantly into their cell phones arranging power lunches and stock transactions."..... and the people inside the Pentagon as "military targets, pure and simple"....... there's going to be a backlash. Freedom of speech is "for everyone", or should be, but that doesn't mean the university has to employ him. He can still say what he wants, after all. I can't to to work today and answer the phone with "what do you want, jackass?"...though I often feel like it lol. One thing we can agree on, is that there are those that would foam at the mouth in defense of Coulter, that are laughing at Churchill. I have very little use for either of them, to be honest. Here's a link to a CNN transcript with him and Paula Zahn, for anyone wanting to take a peek: http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0502/04/pzn.01.html
