What a hilariously ignorant reply!

What are you afraid of? The U.S. is already heavily communistic:

DailyKos???  You might as well cite PrisonPlanet.  I said RELIABLE source Fargle.  AP?  Reuters?  BBC?  God forbid, a Business page maybe?  This is hardly something the great forces of the PTB are going to need to conceal from the masses.

I'd certainly consider them an independent source, LaM, which is a lot better than what we had to begin with.

Hottiegurl -> RE: Liberals go after Fox News advertisers (7/28/2007 11:36:18 PM)

I'm sorry about the whole thing listed here.  I am so tired of he said/she said or this news person or that news person said.  I read, I listen I take info from both sides and figure truth is somewhere possilbly in the middle.  Finger pointing (I'd seriously like to break a few)  Whatever happened to just reporting the news.  Not that they can get that right on the first try.  I am also tired of people trying to second guess something that is just unfolding.  Give people time to find out, don't slam a camera in the face of a policeman or fireman (woman) when something like 9/11 or a shooting on campus is going down.

I am also tired of people taking comments out of context and making big "news" out of them.  Things like Rosie and O'Reilly blown out of proportion.  Then is news really what Paris or Lindsey is doing?  Give me a break.  News to me should still be Who, What Where When How and Why and maybe at the end of the show the commentary.  I still remember good reporters, like Huntly and Brinkley and Cronkite.  I may not remember how to spell their names but those men knew the news, they reported it along with the ones that were on the field in Vietnam such as Peter Jennings and Tom Brokaw.  We grew up with these guys.  I am not saying they are better but much of what they did was report not speculate.

Or they could just do the same thing to anybody who advertises on the CBS Evening News....

She was correct in her post. They don't lean as far as Fox does, but they do lean.

One more thing, Lowes only is supposedly pulling out of O'Reilly's show, they are still working with Fox, which isn't what the Kos-sacks wanted.

I watch FOX, CNN, and CBS. I visit all of their website constantly throughout the day.

None of them are unbiased, FOX leans to the right, CNN/CBS lean to the left.

Thist attack on FOX news is just another attempts the far left wackos to silence the right. You dont see any conservatives going after CNN do you?

And I saw no threat. there was of course an implied threat in Oreilly's blog, but he also said he would respect her as the President(something the Dems just cant seem to do with bush, even before 9/11) He never said he would kill her. What exactly he meant by that statement is unclear...There are multiple reasons one would be on the SS watch list. not just for death threats.

http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=1643

Because, despite appearances CNN is working WITH FOX and everyone else.

Really. CNN was like everyone else and devoted HOW MUCH TIME to the Hospice Cat vs. FBI Director give SWORN TESTIMONY Contradicting AGonzo's testimony. Something like 3 minutes of Cat to 1 minute of Gonzo...

Remember, it's not Lib vs. Con. That's artifically setup by the Bosses.

It's THE BOSSES v. ALL OF US NIGGERS.

Well, if they didn't waste time on Lindsey, they'd have to do REAL JOURNALISM, and they're incapable of that.

  I`m sorry,I missed something.

This isn`t a "he said she said,"thing. This is Oreilly attacking an effective blog site,by going after a sponsor,"Jet Blue".

That`s how this tiff started. Can anyone name a journalist, who`s engaged in going after an opponent`s financial support? Can anyone name a journalist who`s bragged that he killed a sponsorship?

Who other that Oreilly engages in this kind of BS and name calling?Likening the DK to the kkk and nazis.Come on now, that`s not "he said ,she said",that`s just plain wrong and stupid.Stupid because now Oreilly is going to get a taste of his own medicine.

This technique,BTW,was started and perfected by right-wing groups like the "Moral Majority",:The Family Research Council","Focus on the Family",etc.
They were able to scare a few sponsors and advertisers, but the technique really didn`t have the desired affect,IMO ,and they dropped it(for now).People attempt to do it all the time, and threaten to boycott something.but it rarely works.
Sometimes boycotts do work,though.

When Oreilly pulled it off,(and bragged about it),he set himself up for the same treatment.Either Oreilly didn`t count on success,or he thought it would be a one way fight, where he could throw bombs without getting hurt himself.

He grabbed the tiger by the tail, with this one. There`s one thing Oreilly`s boss (Rupert Murdock)values over anything, and that`s money. If Oreilly keeps up with his behavior,he`ll lose more sponsors.

This story is about an alleged journalist, and a little known(till now) blog site.lol Just a blog site, lol, nothing more.No powerful, well financed news operation, with a paid staff and personal assistances, like Oreilly has.

The Daily Kos (like other blogs)is a bunch of people talking. That`s it,that` all.Mostly average incomes and backgrounds, these left of center Americans come together and chat.lol They deal in ideas.

Unfortunately,Oreilly deals in spin, half truths, distortion ,scare tactics and bull shit. He`s a bully and can`t compete on a level playing field.

He went "ugly", by calling the DK a hate site(like the kkk, lol),then targeting a well known sponsor like "Jet Blue"and  trying to scare them by claiming(on his TV and radio shows) that Jet Blue sponsors hate groups.lol.What a low life scum-bag move. Scaring good, normal people like Jet Blues`s owners, with these under belly tactics.

Anyone feeling sorry for Oreilly doesn`t know the history of this bizarre story.

Peace

I think the "he said, she said" mentioned is in reference to posts here at CM.

O'reilly is no journalist (no matter what he may say [:D]). Of course, both sides engage in mudslinging, and name-calling.

farglebargle -> RE: Liberals go after Fox News advertisers (7/29/2007 8:52:47 AM)

I think the point was that O'Reilly started the "Targeting Sponsors" war.

Well, This ROUND of the war...

Damn you Donald Wildman... Damn you to HELL!

New York Times To Retain Embed Status in Iraq

Perhaps this was a much more interesting article....To come out of this site.....Anyone read it?  Remember Michael Yon?  Kind of makes the point rather clear that if the military does not approve of what you show....You might just lose your "Embed Status"......Still confident that it was al qaeda?

http://www.denverpost.com/war/ci_6398851

I think that this scenario is just as likely....Sorry for the hijack.....It should cause people to consider the way they are fed their news....It does put the reporting of Michael Yon in a specific light....if they didn't want him there he would be gone......Again. it is just a choice on how we are willing to receive our news and if we are wise enough to call it into question....I believe that too many conservatives are not willing to begin to question the source....if the "author" agrees with them then it has to be right....Kinda  like Dan Rather...lol

Hmm. Well, the Denver Post article still talks about how there's a problem with al-Qaeda, so it still could have been them in the Yon report at fault, right? I don't know if we'll ever have the truth....

And too many liberals are unwilling to question their sources, it isn't an either/or thang.

Sales of Kool Aid are high all across the land..... [:D]
