Status: offline 		I love the male form, naked or clothed, and the female one to. So it doesn't bother me in the least, people are way to uptight about nudity. A lot of people who would walk aorund naked think nothing sexual about it they just like bieng naked. And the most "moral and righteous" and properly ashamed of their bodies are the ones whose minds are always in the gutter... it's funny.

I don't object to people putting what they wish on profiles. I will say, that I don't want to receive photos of penises in my email. To me, it is a turn off to get a naked pic unless they have asked if I want one. And if they ask, I will say no, because I really don't want to see anyone naked unless I am on the verge of becoming intimate with them.

At one time, I was getting so many pics of stranger's winkies, that I put this request on my profile:

1/6/2007 5:10:44 AM: Please, please, please, don't send me pictures of your "package". It does not make a good impression, no matter how proud of it you may be. I really need to get to know someone above the neck, before I have any interest down below.

Status: offline 		No matter how much I ponder this will it make 100% sense to me. I love being naked. I am thankful that I live in a remote enough area that I can be naked out doors pretty much whenever, and no one is going to see. Granted, I do prefer clothing at 40 below zero, but that again is a preferrence. Clothing is used for shelter from the elements, to make fashion statements, or to entice. Sure there are other reasons, but why bother with them?? LOL!!
Men and women should be able to be nude in their own homes and on their own profiles without having to take grief for it. If you don't like it or approve of it, DON'T LOOK AT IT!! Simple as all that. Yes, I understand that pics occassionally come up that we did not mean to look at to begin with, but refreshing the page does wonders for that.
And yes, I still largely blame society.

Status: offline 		Personally - i prefer to see a man in a good suit - all men are sexy in a dark suit! i don't particuarly care if he is well toned or not - i prefer bigger men!
Having said that though - i have no objection to people posting pics of themselves with little on or with no shirts on while sitting at the pc! i sometimes sit at my pc naked - doesn't mean anything - i might be looking at a work spreadsheet! i am just more comfortable naked - and i am sure there are a lot of people out there that are! i am not a naturist but the naked body is beautiful in all of its shapes and forms and the fact that someone can't look at a picture of a half naked man sitting at his pc without automatically thinking he's jerking off says more about the person than it does about the poor guy!

deciding to buy a book and read it is making a judgement, and deciding whether to give a person enough time to let you get to know them is also making a judgement; harsh but true, we (almost) all judge a book by the cover... if we didn't, we'd have no time; no one can read every book they see or get to know every person they meet

I will 'swoon' in the opposite direction. I prefer a to see a picture of a man in a setting where he is comfy and at ease, if he likes being naked, great, all the more power to him, yet, lets be honest, thats a HORRIBLE first impression. As for judging a book by its cover, be honest, EVERYONE does, if you say you don't, then you are lieing to yourself. Do I, yes. I have NOT added people to friends lists on various sites because of their picture that they have up, smoking, drinking, middle finger up, etc. I have my own 'criteria' as to what I consider acceptable; its a first impression, and a lousy one at that for a decent number of people.
 
Like darchylde, when I go to a book store, I look at the name on the spine, and the cover and read the back, to decide if I want to buy it or not. I have not read books becuase their covers were unappealing, then years later, found the same book with a different cover and read it, and enjoyed it. Why? Because the 'cover' had changed and it was appealing.
 
First impressions are make or break for the most part. You rarely get to make a second first impression, so make the best FIRST impression you can.
 
I am not shallow, when it comes to relationships, and friends, I base things on what is on the inside as well as outside; I see beyond the wrapper and the cover.

For what it's worth, I agree with you 100%.  I have absolutely NO problems with nudity, or photos, but it's not something i want to see in e-mail or conversations on-line.  As a couple others have stated, it's a turn off, and to me, just smacks of desperation or arrogance in some instances......I could care less what is in the pants....I want to know what's in the mind.  The assumption that all I'm interested in is a man's cock in erroneous in so many ways. 

Profile pics are entirely different....there it's my choice to view them.  (I don't as a rule).  The ones I hate are the unsolicited ones.  I understand what you're saying here, and am SO glad there are others who feel the same way.

Status: offline 		I don't have a problem with nudity, quite the opposite.  But when I see those torso pics on profiles, especially when they're out of focus and the head is cut off, for some reason, the Elmer Fudd version of "I'm Too Sexy" starts running through my head....

Most pathetic of all, though are the cock shots.  Poor bastard is just thinking, "When the women see THIS, they'll be falling onto their knees.....
