MadRabbit:  Casual sex is great (though its only slightly above masturbation to me when there is no emotional connection and since masturbation doesnt cost dinner and drinks, they kind of balance out), but some of us honestly do want to meet a partner and do want someone for a long term M/S relationship.

MadRabbit, I do not doubt your desire to meet someone for a long term M/s relationship.  My point simply was that the OP seemed too fixated on what was wrong with "these girls" in that they didn't conform to his expectations, and I read into that peevishness at having been snubbed.  Maybe I'm wrong, and if so, I welcome the correction.

But I'm not wrong (smile).

okay, i would definitely be on the 'bad' list for submissive. Because i dont bite the chocolate.
All i know is when i find my submission, with that very special Dom, he is going to feel like the most special Man in the world, because he will be 'the diamond in the rough.' :) and i wont go any lower, its called 'Top' for a number of reasons.
i long to fully submit, but good things come to those who wait.

So enough rambling already Intense, get to your questions.  Are these women really submissive or are they situationally submissive or are they bottoms or none of the above?  And as a dominant, would you even bother with this type of female and hope beyond hope that there was a treasure underneath that rude, demanding exterior?

About 4 years ago Himself bought a new entertainment center for the grunge room. It was one of those that you put together yourself out of a box. The picture on the outside of the box looked pretty cool, all chrome and black with spaces for the tv and about 4 game units. The box was clearly labeled entertainment center.

When he opened the box and started taking out the pieces. There were a lot of pieces and when he found the instruction book on how to put it together, it was 13 pages long.. and written exclusively in Japanese. Ah well.

Now, he could have hired someone to come in and build it for him or he could have written to the manufacturer and waited for instructions to be sent to him in English, but, being the sort of guy that he is, he figured he wing it and just try to put it together himself. After all, the pieces would only fit together a certain way, so how much could he really fuck it up? It seemed an acceptable risk to try to put together what appeared to be an entertainment center, although, it might just as easily have been a coffee table.

In the end, it took a little longer to build it than it might have, but for the last four years it has served him well and, it turns out, the label on the box was exactly right. It was, indeed, an entertainment center. Someone else might have sent it back not wanting to bother, but for a do-it-yourselfer, it was a project worth the effort.

Really does take all kinds, yanno?

i am bratty when it pleases a Master so, i like to please so much, that my last Man got upset because he had nothing to punish me for, so he would punish me for that ;)

Who needs an excuse to "punish"?  If I want to spank, flog, whip, etc... I'm just gonna!
Now you being rude when someone ruffles you a bit, that I'm getting.  You're just not the type to bite your tongue.

Translation:  I'm only rude when I feel like it.  (Because it's your choice whether to feel offended or not)

Or:  I'm only rude when someone chooses to manipulate me into being rude.

Someone else's lack of manners is NEVER a reason to forget one's own.

Sassybutt -> RE: Are they or aren't they submissive? (8/11/2007 3:23:57 AM)

I for myself, when someone from collar me contacts me, automatically give them the respect of their title and call them Sir and speak in third person, untill the emails or conversation turn straight to sex only and then I see that is all they want then and only then does the title of my name show itself.

eyesopened -> RE: Are they or aren't they submissive? (8/12/2007 4:22:01 AM)

Not sure why we make Dominance / submission so complicated.  We are all submissive (yielding to authority) in one form or another.  What would our society be like if we only obeyed the laws we like or agree with?  If someone doesn't like the law against shoplifting would we applaud the thief for standing up for his or her comfort zone?

i am going to be polite, respectful and submissive to any law enforcement officer who pulls me over for speeding or broken headlight and i don't have to "get to know him" first.  i'm not going to challenge my boss over an assignment i feel is tedious or unnecessary or because he hands me the assignment 15 minutes before quitting time.

Let's face it, people develop behaviors that work for them.  If a person expects gifts its because they have recieved them in the past and it works for them.  Is it really bad behavior if the behavior is rewarded?

This is my view as well. When we let others manipulate our reactions and justify it, aren't we giving away control and choice to that person, subsequently submiting to them?
Just a thought~
