Your premise is flawed. Not 'all' big women call themselves beautiful. Also, you're rather hypocritical to boot. You state that you're not bashing 'big' girls. Why didn't you say that you're not bashing 'fat' girls?

Status: offline 		Personally, I love these threads because they're so fun and usually heated.  It's nice to see some people don't shy away from possible confrontation--the kind one would be guaranteed for starting a thread like this--and it's still nice to see someone who doesn't know what kind of reaction such a subject sparks from people get surprised.

I agree with DiurnalVampire's last couple of posts.  If someone wants to call themselves BBW, let them.  If you're not into that then at least you're prewarned NOT to talk to this person.  That's kind of a good thing but that's in my book.  To each their own and that's all.

I do however understand where the OP is coming from.  Not all large women are automatically beautiful BECAUSE they're bigger.  They may or may not be beautiful for other reasons, including inner beauty to any person.  (I also kind of think it's funny some people in this lifestyle aren't more understanding or..what's the word...accepting.  Different strokes for different folks and all that.  Shouldn't people in the lifestyle really get that idea?  But those are just my thoughts.)  Also it kinda reminds me of a person who argues something just for the sake of being different.  Like those people who challenge something just because they want to argue semantics just because they want to argue and stand apart from what "everyone else" thinks.  I could very possibly be wrong but that's what it reminds me of.  Besides, I've been known to do that very thing so I'm not judging.

Edited to add:  I wouldn't call myself BBW because that's just not me.  I'm not going to demand someone sees me any particular way.  If someone wants to look at me and find me unattractive then let them.  I'm not going to sit here and insist I'm beautiful because I realize to some people I'm not but that doesn't bother me.  Not saying that's what women who call themselves BBW are doing but if I were to do that, that's how I would view it as.  I hold myself to stricter expectations than others, what can I say?

I am not the one with the judgmental perception...the person who is labeling themself as a BB* has that self-perception and has the aself-afflicted big-label! Which means, while he/she may perceive themself as beautiful and yell out to the world (power to ya!) - you are at the same time yelling out to the world that you are to be perceived as BIG.

I never cared for BBW....It just doesn't really fit....I mean it is cool to be confident in your appearance but it does seem to be a bit callous and shallow....I mean you could say, "I am fat with great eyes or beautiful tits"...That might be more appropriate.  Or perhaps, I have a great personality and I am told I have an extremely attractive snatch by my gynecologist."

You just don't hear many men touting their guts and how cool it is not to be able to see their own dicks.

So where is the line drawn for BBW? Do you only become a BBW once you hit a certain weight on the scale? And until then are you just an overweight ugly chick??? And is there a good acronym for that?

Just as an example, conjure up an image of Marilyn Monroe in your mind. Most people don't realize that she was a size 12/14 for the duration of her incredible popularity as a sex symbol. But this incredibly sensual, vibrant, BEAUTIFUL woman would be told she was fat today. Not just by directors and her publicist. Quite likely by her doctor as well. How messed up is that? Incredibly so. Give me Marilyn over Heidi or Paris any darn day of the week. ~ pmg

I think one sentence in your post would have looked a lot better had you said "not every woman is beautiful TO ME...." It gets me when people post personal opinion as fact. You're only speaking for yourself. On what morning did you get up and figure out that you could decide what fits the definition of "beautiful" for everyone?

As far as the BBW acronym, the thing's got beautiful in the middle of it. How can anyone have a problem with that? If it's not for you, don't worry about it. Women who would be considered as being beautiful by most of society are not beautiful TO ME.

How about a thread about how socially unacceptable it is to be attracted to larger women? A larger female friend of mine once told me about a married man she had an affair with. He had the typical trophy wife, but came to her when he wanted real fun!

Status: offline 		You know, I don't think a size 14 should really be considered "plus sized" (if you're talking clothes) or "fat" (if you're talking body).  I know I'm fat and everything but I wouldn't trade places with someone teeny tiny.  I have two friends--one is short and very slender with hardly any breasts and the other friend is tall and insanely skinny with NO breasts at all.  And both want themselves to be different.  Grass is always greener.

But then we're getting off topic.

Her size 12/14 translates today into about a size eight.

I believe some are now using it as a gentler, humorous way of saying, "I'm fat".  That's fine.  It's just annoying when people try to spin things.

I think Marilyn might be a tad bit stanky....But I imagine you would probably get the same amount of movement from a present day Marilyn as you would a comatose Paris.

The notions are changing....You see it everyday.  People are getting larger and there are ad campaigns that speak of real beauty....It is true that the majority of super models are very thin....However, you are starting to see more of a focus on curves and big asses and the like.....Fucking rappers!  I hate to think if this trend continues what the ramifications could be....Skinny, assless white girls waiting for lunch at the soup kitchen....Fucking rappers!
