So your argument remains that a single drink and spanking is deadly, yet leaping from a plane is completely without risk?

Or is it possible that, despite your best efforts to hide the fact, you actually do understand that there's such a thing as an "acceptable level of risk"?

That's all anyone's been trying to say.

Please, please tell me that you have some statistic that proves skydiving is safer than having a few drinks and doing a scene.

What about having a few drinks and then doing a scene skydiving???

Oh my god I'm confused... it must be my drug addled brain...

By the way, I have been swimming with sharks and bungy jumped too... you're not the only cool and risk taking one around here...

while in both you have a chocie how about take away the chute  cause here is how that works one drink leads two or three or four. we are people who always push the limits and sometimes not in good ways.. if you can say no to one you are ahead of many. because everything starts with just one.. the only thing this thread proves is that some people like living on the edge and some do not.. it is that resposiblity factor of what you do while on the edige that makes that difference as long it harms you and no one else who cares.. cause and effect yep learn it know it live it

If I make a choice to have one drink... I have one drink. If you don't have that level of control, then obviously having anything to drink is a risk for you, but maybe we're not all like you.

Wow, Michael, I am amazed at your ability to KNOW all about me from reading a few of my posts, who I am as a person, how I act, what I feel, what I think. Truly, very impressive. I really am an arrogant, judgemental sonofabitch, or maybe, oooops, you are reading into my words what you want to see, rather than what was intended. Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

Did his divine essence disappear, Dominic?

Aswad, I never suggested the topic was simple. People have taken my words and put their own spin on what I meant, but that is beyond my control. If you actually go back and read my posts you will find that I never stated that no-one should ever use alcohol or drugs.

You have determined your own personal levels of judgement with the help of friends and tests. I would be willing to bet very few others on this board have gone to the length you have to really find out what their limits are.

Ah, I just saw this when I posted my response to your last comments. No, his divine essence is just fine.

But, actually, I am giving up namaste, on this forum at least. I know who I am, and don't need to justify myself to anyone here. Very tired of having my words misinterpreted, then accused of being better than everyone by people who have practically nothing to base it on, as they know nothing about me.

Dominic, I was just joking.

That was the first post of yours I'd seen without that signature, and directed at him after some disagreement. My apologies if I misinterpreted your other posts. But if you reread it yourself, I think you will see how some would find saying नमस्त somewhat at odds with the tone of the posts, and not for the first time.

That is what SimplyMichael essentially pointed out in an admittedly unproductive, but delightfully entertaining, manner. Something which could certainly be seen as the light of something divine shining through, no? Hence the bow.

Health,
al-Aswad.

i wouldnt play on drugs.......but id play on herbal therapy....

What the f...?

Hypericum, rauwolfia, atropa, datura and a host of others will strongly affect your mind.
Poppies and coca leaves are herbs that have clear therapeutic uses.
Ayahusca is a traditional herb brew and a potent drug.

Where did you get the idea herbs were intrinsically safe? Or that medicines aren't?

the only herb i use is merrywanna.................and i got the idea from using it on and off for like 30 years......course, my brain could be so fried, i just dont realize im a moron.....stranger things have happened.

This thread has proven other things.

Like stupidy manifests itself in other ways like poorly articulated jumbles of words and narrow minded opinions.

I am taking from this game of scrabble that you seem to feal that people in general, lack the self control to have one drink and not have anymore. Perhaps you feal that the consumption of one drink results in irrestible cravings that cause people to spiral down, out of control, to a level of complete drunkness far beyond where they wanted to be at.

Personally, I used to be quite a drunk, but threw the miracle of self control and discipline have brought myself to a point in my life where I can drink one or two drinks on a rare occasion and stop.

I appreciate your condemnation of other people's choices due to this "cause and effect" you keep pontificating about.

Perhaps in addition to the warnings you are giving about the dangerous risk factor of one drink and a spanking, you would like to include some warnings about playing with people who have a low IQ level, inexperienced people who are doing something for the first time, people with ADD who might forget about the nipple clamps, or perhaps even playing in a state that has high probabibility of an earthquake.

All these factors increase the risk of a possible injury occuring do to incompetance and or random castrophe. I mean, god forbid, we become brutalized by the "cause and effect" of an earthquake happening and resulting in rumble crushing someone whos tied up and cant move.

I mean...really...you KNEW he had ADD. How could you expect him to remember to take off the clamps in his mentally impaired condition? Idiot.

......

Are you serious? Really...kindly just stop talking.

Not everyone on this forum is an alcoholic. They CAN stop at one or two beers.

I think that a study needs to be made. Everyone gather up and listen 'round! Go out and get your booze on this weekend and have a scene...in the name of science mind you! Once you've had a beer or two, pick up your flogger and thwack the person closest to you a few dozen times. Now, in the event this person does not die or suffer some life altering injury.....our debate has been proven! Now, I personally am willing to devote as many man (erm...woman?) hours to the cause as needed.

I'm game if I can switch the beer for cider, wine or single cask.

In the interest of science, this should be done with a control freak, er... control group, too.
Bruising will help ascertain the level of placebo response.
And let's not forget double blind...folds.

Data should be submitted to the forum, of course; chain of custody photographs go on imageshack.
