Status: offline 		To chose or be chosen.. It's something I have been thinking about alot lately. It started when I was  spending time with some friends who are lifestyle and I was thinking to myself.. 'Now if I could chose who I wanted to play with instead of the people that chose me who would it be'   
Is the person you are with the person you picked or did they pick you?

Status: offline 		I think we picked each other.  I felt his power right off the bat and was drawn to him, submitting to him from the start.  Because of the submission I displayed to him, he chose to keep me.

Status: offline 		Hmmmm...it seems to me you would both have to choose eachother. Do you mean who was the first to begin the "pursuit" or make contact or show interest? I guess i just don't understand how someone could be in another relationship with someone else if they did not choose to be with that person. Please correct me if i am mis-reading

Some people  go to you, intrested in  what you can offer while others you approach.   I'm not sure if that helps any.  It's a subject that came to mind after I realised  many that have approuched me are definatly not the people I would approach. It doesn't make them bad or  undesirable. Just not the right person for me.  Most get weeded out pretty fast  when they realise that even tho I identify as a bottom and am not specificlly  "collared" I am married and they have to talk to my husband Rob and  Knight of Mists.. that process has weeded many out but there are still a few who are nice people, who play well that still are not exatctly who I would have chosen but seem to have picked me any way

Status: offline 		Angel and I sort of chose one another. There really wasnt a lot of thought put into do I want him or do I not... when we met face to face we just knew it was.

Sorry, I should have been a bit more clear, the question is a bit ambigious...  Did you approuch the partner you are with or did they come to you?

Status: offline 		i've decided to do nothing and just wait to be chosen. afterall, making attempts to choose has been unsuccessful. sooooooooo, i'm just gonna have fun until then...why not make people laugh and feel good instead of bringing them down like i had been doing. wouldn't hurt, i don't think.

I think more often I have picked, I think that is because
I sometimes don't seem approachable.
More often than not I have gotten what I wanted.
And also have had my panties charmed off.

Oh.  He approached me.  And we kind of argued.  And he approached me again the next day and the conversation went better.  I was too shy to approach him for days until he told me to say hello every morning when I logged in (IM).  Even when he gave me his number I was too shy to call him. 

Now he can't get me to shut up...

Status: offline 		I met my last partner in my living room.  I remember looking into his eyes and feeling very strongly attracted to him.  A few weeks later I saw  him at a summer solstice gathering and went up to him and reintroduced myself.  Later in the weekend he asked me to "share dreamspace" with him.  It wasn't a case of one person picking the other, but an organic moving toward each other.  We did assume very typical gender roles to get there ... I like being wooed and courted!

Status: offline 		Its not easy to find a partner period, let alone a domme so if the opportunity arises its probably best not to sit around and wait for her to approach you. No matter what your gender though I think you should go for what you want.

I agree with you. I brushed Master off and then realized what a dumb ass I was.  I am so lucky no one grabbed him.
